Fresh hops, canned 3/3/17, this is very tasty, thanks @tasterschoice62

 

7% alcohol. Brewed in Chicago.

 

Going DIPA this morning- Blackrocks Brewery's "The Murray Project", Marquette MI:



Pours a hazy deep gold with floaties. Aroma and taste of juicy pineapple. Ugly, but very tasty!

Another lovely morning here in SWFL - looking forward to more site seeing with Mrs. Z and her sister today. Cheers!

Well cold and dreary has returned I was getting use to warm and sunny! A day like this calls for beer and I'll be having a few. First up Triptych Dank Meme. I recently made a trade for some local Chicago area beers, included was a few Half Acre, Pipeworks and Revolution staples but I gotta say this is my favorite beer out of the whole lot! Try this one out

Time for an afternoon beer

 

Good morning, all! Dreary day here in the Cedar Valley, but it's a day off before a three-day work weekend so I'll take it. I'm kicking things off with a new one, North Coast Tart Cherry Berliner Weisse. This is an excellent beer, with lots of tart Montmorency cherry dominating the profile. This is barely two weeks past the bottling date. I'm planning to mix some of this with something else for lunch today. Stay tuned!

Attractive, clear light gold color with white cap.

Aroma of herbal, piney hops with some malt lurking in the background. Brewer says the aroma is fruity but I get herbal.

Taste is hop forward and lots of it. Heavy hop flavor just like the scent, herbal and resinous. Malt is in there but it seems like I feel it more than taste it. Same hop flavors to the finish and a degree of piney hop bitterness is present in the aftertaste.

Medium-full texture with balancing carbonation.

Brewer calls it a liquid poem to the glory of the hop. I've never thought of hops as glorious but won't argue. For me it's hopped past the balance point so it won't be a regular. Just too single drummer and when I'm drinking a big brew I want to hear more instruments being played.
