It doesn't matter for those of us who didn't win as I heard a rumor that all the ANTEAD available this year is infected and getting drain poured. Shucks.

All kidding aside, congrats to all of you won this year. Drink well and remember to share.

I know you're probably being sarcastic, but I'll bite anyway... Are you really that pissed you only got 3 allotments? What were you expecting? Assuming some of the numbers being thrown around in this thread were in the ballpark, you had to expect about a 1% chance, which is right around where you fall into if you had 32 mules out there. I'm curious - how many were you actually willing to pay for?

    1) 5 to 8
    2) the numbers thrown around have no relation to reality whatsoever. They are simply made up.
    3) 3 out 32 is about 10% not 1%
(and don't refer to my family and friends as mules)
    4) As many as I got.

Between me and my buddies we had over 150 entries with friends and family. Not one winner. Maybe I'll play lotto next.

    Sorry, I meant 10%.

I meant no offense on the mule comment. I registered my mom & dad as well and mule just seemed like the appropriate word assuming the people you registered wouldn't actually be drinking the beer. I would gladly call my mom & dad my mules if they won. But weren't you the guy that said you got all your employees to register?

In the end remember it's just beer...cheers!

That's crazy. Not only that you didn't have one winner, but that you know 150 people willing to sign up for it.

I had 30 in my camp. My other 3 buddies had a bunch of ppl they know sign up. Plus family and co-workers. So the 4 of us agreed to share with whoever didn't win.

Has it been posted what the teku looks like? I had 4 people trying and I won. Didn't get picked last year and didn't have my hopes high this year so it was a nice surprise.

Maybe an idea for next year...is that you have to show up in person over 2-3 week period to enter the lottery?

What exactly did they do last year that limited the "muling" we had this year? I honestly don't know what system they used.

It went on sale through bpt and sold out immediately. Then they did a lottery where you submitted your email and they picked some extra winners for all bottles minus vanilla. I'm fine with the way they did this year. It seems those sites crash often with the immediate volume. I've tried a lot of different bpt sales and never won. Don't think my chances were any better this year mathematically but in my mind there was.

Don't know what bpt is but not sure how that system limits the muling more than this system.

Brown paper tickets. Similar to event brite. It doesn't really limit the muling. It still gets thousands of people trying to get bottles except all at once as opposed to a few days to sign up. This year everyone just got an equal chance to round up everybody they could to enter.

At least you understand that isn't practical.

First of all, why would Kane need to provide the public with that information? Couldn't they do that without releasing the information? If they deem not enough out of towners decided to buy their sets then Kane should internally deal with it and make changes on their own.

Secondly who are these breweries that do state restrictive releases? While I won't say there aren't any, I can't think of one, let alone enough to qualify as lots. Serious question. No snark.

Well I know a lot of people, have a lot of family and friends, but I literally know no one who would be willing to drive to Kane to show ID to buy the bottles. So it was just me and my lone entry. I did not win. More power to all of you who have people willing to bust ass to Kane for you and congrats to the winners.
