No, no. Statler and Waldorf! (Either one, or perhaps both.)

I'm one, @NWer is the other. We're just sitting here in our balcony.

In terms of personality, I thought that comparison was so obvious to not require saying. Rather, I was speculating purely with respect to physical appearance, about which there remains some (albeit probably not much) mystery...

The same way we always get here: raw, natural talent.

Attempt to drag this back to beer: Last night after a fine dinner with friends, I found myself at the Orenco Taphouse, and spotted one of my favored Refrigerator Beers on tap: Block 15 Sticky Hands. Closer examination showed that this was the "Brewer's Cut" version. Unfortunately, I didn't try it, since I'd actually taken the car last night instead of using the MAX.

Curses. I hope it sticks around for another couple days.

Aslan Batch 15 is another just good all round IPA to have in the fridge at any time of the year

Maybe a dumb question, but does Aslan distribute to BC or do you come down regularly to stock your fridge? If it's in BC, do you mind schooling me on which Whatcom County/WA breweries are distributing to BC?

Dude, in the BIF I'm just finishing, a dude in Vermont bought a sixer of Batch 15, down the road from him. I'm just wanting some Brooklyn this side of the border.

A good friend here in town just returned from a months-long road trip around the country (his 3rd), heavily focused on visiting breweries. WA/OR have a surprising presence in VT compared to the rest of the NE, apparently. There's a VT native who spent time in our corner and returned home to open a small distributorship; I don't know if that's how Aslan gets there, but hearing that NW beer appeals to VT is no surprise.

Adding Pfriem Mosaic Pale to the list, kinda miffed no one told me about it earlier as it's delicious.

    Fremont Interurban
    Fremont Universale
    Bale Breaker Field 41
    Reuben's Crikey
Reuben's Roasted Rye (for my wife)

And when it's fresh hop season, I am pretty much stocked in Fremont Cowiche until it's gone.

Either people are too scared to admit what they really buy/drink, or there's a theme on what's good lol. One usual in my fridge used to be Space Dust, but I can't get myself to buy it anymore.

    Staples:
    - Few kinds of Fremont, Lush is in my fridge now. Interurban is easy to grab on the go
    - Fremont BA bombers during the Winter, always buy a bunch to age
    - Bale Breaker, usually Bottom Cutter
    - Melvin, I prefer the regular IPA as a daily and Asterisk floats my boat when I see it

Lately a lot of my budget has just been going to the local Bellingham guys... Structures keeps me (and my bank acct) busy with their can releases and growlers. I usually grab some Aslan or Wander beer if going to a family/friend get together.

We do get it in BC, but I usually buy from Bham because it's cheaper (even if I get stuck with duty) and often fresher (don't even start with me on our government distro system).

The WA breweries question can be a bit tricky to answer because some distro is so small we'll miss out in like 90% of the stores and sometimes we get like 1-2 beer lines. Here's what I know (I'm sure I missed some):

    - Redhook
    - Aslan
    - Pyramid
    - Elysian
    - Scuttelbutt
    - Propolis
    - Sound
    - NoLi
    - Odin
    - Wander
    - Two Beers
    - Boundary Bay

If you get Fremont and bale breaker...well that's all you need.

We keep hearing about Fremont, it's been a rumour for years. Thankfully those are both fairly easy to get across the line.
