Pro tip for you out-of-staters coming up to get your bottles

Assuming Kane won't be pouring anything that weekend, avoid the crowds at Carton and definitely hit up Dark City in Asbury Park.

 

Beach Haus in Belmar has a nice deck, they can go there after Dark City.

 

Excellent idea.

Its too bad for people travelling that Conclave and Troon are closed pick up weekend.

 

But what about our friends coming from the north? I hear Magnitude encourages BYOB....

 

It's a shame that Magnify doesn't have a can release that weekend. But definitely worth a stop if you are heading south to Kane.

 

also if you're staying up here for a bit, if possibly try to get over to Other Half if you could. They release cans every weekend, although they sell out pretty quickly. Either way if you had time they have a great tap list usually and it's worth the trip!

 

Actual pro-tip would be to swing by Carton after Dark City, even if it's only to buy some beer to go. Carton gets a little crowded sometimes, but never anything unmanageable. They usually sell their cans right at the door so it's easy to grab something to go even if you're in a rush and don't want to hang out or anything.

I agree. Getting cans at Carton is quick and easy. IMO Carton's beer is better than Dark City.

At a minimum check out the Wegmans nearby Kane. They typically have multiple Carton cans and sometimes Magnify depending on the week. Jughandle is also a mile or two down the road.

 

Thanks for this info. My mom & dad live near Kane and shop at that Wegman's so whenever they go to Wegman's they usually ask me if I want them to pick anything up at Kane. I never thought to have them pick up Carton at Wegman's. I know the Spirits in Toms River has Carton sometimes.

 

I'm going to miss this thread when tomorrow comes. The amount of people missing "it" ITT blows my mind.

This is the first of the glasses. Probably not.

 

I think this may be the first time they're doing the glasses. I don't recall them doing them before.

 

Okay so did that one go right over my head and the Wegman's in Ocean doesn't actually carry Carton? I didn't think it was that far-fetched considering their distribution and at least where I live Wegman's often has a better selection than a lot of the bottle shops and distributors. I thought I was in on the joke but I don't know what to believe in this thread anymore...

 

That Wegmans does carry Carton. It is not always in stock though, goes quick.

 

nah wegmans usually carries carton, but it can be hit or miss. carton is about a 30 minute drive north up route 35/36 if you want to just go to the source.

stop by asbury park (see first page for recommendations) if you want too.

 

My Wegmans in Manalapan usually carries Carton and Magnify (Vine Shine and Low Vis).
