Also, does anyone know how to tell if the bottle is the Firestone batch or the Boulevard one? I'm guessing Boulevard version is getting shipped from the rockies on east while Firestone delivers to the west coast.

Also, also, did anyone notice that they doubled production this year? 8000 cases on the bottle. Stores seem to be getting more of it too. I've seen numerous stores post no limits on it.

It's not really a larger production but smaller bottles. 2016 was 4000 cases of 22oz bottles. 2017 is 8000 cases of 12oz bottles.

2016 @ 4000 cases is equivalent to ~196 bbl. 2017 @ 8000 cases is ~214 bbl. It went up slightly, but not a lot.

Or they just used approximate figures of even values of 4000 and 8000...

Yes. This just hit Chicagoland distribution this week. Upon initial tasting I was somewhat disappointed. Parabola was borderline my favorite beer in the world as a result of '15 and '16 vintages. '17 seems a bit muted - bourbon in the background upon first taste. I will try again to confirm as I have 4 of them so far. I split it with a friend who agreed. Still good, but '16 was ridiculous.

It's more than double the production. 4000 cases of 6 22oz bottles is 528,000 oz. 8000 cases of 12 12oz bottles is 1,152,000 oz.

This is homebrewing info but can you post your recipe? I'd love to see it. I love this beer as well and would be interested to see how it goes for you. What was your oak aging method? Do you have a used barrel or are you doing oak chips, etc.?

looking to do a vertical from 2014 to now thought I do agree with Todd, 2016 seemed to be much better. 14-15 were a bit of a booze bomb when it warmed (enough to where some may be overwhelmed with no other apparent flavors other than heat & slight tobacco notes)

Interesting. I found 2014, the year they bumped it up to 14%, to be the best, with 2015 being close, and 2016 having a strange ashy bitterness on the backend, which I did not like. Wondering what I'll think of this years.

Why do you need 2 cases of Parabola?

    Well technically I got 3

The case in the middle is full.

And to answer your question. Why not have 3 cases of parabola. I guess I could say it's why I have 3 cases o chocolate rain. Or 2 cases of black Tuesday. Or 3 cases of mocha Wednesday. Or 1 case of grey Monday. Or why I have 300 beers in my cellar. The answer is...why not?

How is 10 bucks for a 12oz Parabola a pass? That's ridiculous. Parabola is a world class beer.
