I agree, but then I look at the prices I pay for a bottle of bavss and ba monsters park bottles....and then I get quiet since the the $/oz is roughly the same. Just the size format makes it seem off-putting.

Surprisingly it wasn't that bad mid afternoon prior 6pm though the servers were not that attentive knowing where such & such beer was located & providing proper instruction. After reading what was available at the time (everything surprisingly, despite the shenanigans that apparently took place that saturday morning) i just got up & ordered myself rather than relying on them.

    Overall, the place was ok.

I kinda freaked a bit at $16 a can at first, and walked away. I went and had a pour on cask and CO2 and pondered life for a few minutes. I think if it was in a bomber for about $32, no one would complain too much. It's expensive, but not as crazy as it seems at $16 a can. I think the can scares people. I've spent more on Bruery bottles without even blinking.

Either way, it was super yummy on draft and I didn't mind buying a few cans to bring home. It certainly is spicy though which I enjoy, but might be a bit much for some people.

I loved the heat from the peppers on Boxcar. It's closer to Mexican Cake than Huna, to offer a couple comparisons. I was expecting a lighter hand from AleSmith, but I was pleasantly surprised. Having shown up on Saturday just to retrieve my Nibs/Beans I was happy to leave with a few cans.

Anvil & Stave is still so much fun, by the way. Great pours, great vibe, great service.

    Hi guys!

Two Barrel-Aged fan favorites reintroduced with a new twist: Barrel-Aged Vietnamese Speedway Stout aged in Rye-Whiskey barrels producing a luscious, complex brew with notes of spice, vanilla, oak, cocoa, and caramel; and Old Rumskull, a playful take on Barrel-Aged Old Numbskull, our American barleywine aged in Rum barrels from Nicaragua resulting in a complex, malty brew with notes of caramel, toffee, vanilla, and oak. You don't want to miss the chance to get your hands on these bottles. Available for purchase starting April, 10 at 11AM. #sdbeer #craftbeer #barrelaged

Yup, each person can have their name tied to 2 pickups. They posted the link after I did the copy/paste from their social media blast.

Man, the pre-sale codes would be great for this release.

Ah, I didn't realize that BL didn't allow proxies. To be fair, Alesmith is releasing a much larger number of bottles.

Didn't they allow proxies for BAVSS? Yes. Didn't that sell out in 1.1 seconds? Yes. Didn't I miss out? Yup.
    Not large enough numbers.

Okay. I got bottles of BAVSS so clearly we didn't have the same experience.

We're excited to announce that the San Diego Padres and Petco Park will now be serving San Diego Pale Ale .394, a beer brewed with Hall of Famer, and Mr. Padre, Tony Gwynn! The beer will be available during games this season at the ballpark's multiple craft beer locations and its own Pale Ale .394 cart. Now you can enjoy San Diego's favorite team at Petco Park with San Diego Pale Ale .394, a beer that pays tribute to the city that Tony loved and the career-high batting average he achieved in 1994.
