I haven't. Even though I work like 2 minutes from there (and generally like what I've had from them), I tend to get the hell out of the DTC as soon as it's quittin' time. I'll need to stop in one of these days. The Mexican lager thing has grown on me a lot. After years of the craft world pushing bigger, stronger, barrel-aged, and spiked with spices it's nice to take a massive step back and have a chuggable corn lager with a splash of lime in it.

I enjoyed the new New Belgium Pilsener. Classic Czech pils flavors and a vast improvement over their old lagers.

Blue paddle is one of the most underrated beers in Colorado.

They recently stopped making Blue Paddle and replaced it with a new pils that I think is better.

I am by no means any sort of expert on the Pilsener style, but I thoroughly agree with both of the above statements

I was under the impression that it was simply the packaging that changed.

I believe it's a slightly different recipe. Their website has the Bohemian Pils at 16 IBUs and Blue Paddle at 33 IBUs. I couldn't find any other specifics, but to my taste buds the new beer had a bit more malty sweetness and more of the "soft" mouthfeel that I associate with Czech pilsners.

What's weird about NB is that their press releas implied that the beers they replaced would simply be re-brands. People are claiming that the beers are definitely different, too. The Abbey and Tripel recipes were changed about a year ago, so it wouldn't surprise me if the others got tweaks, too. I haven't had any in a while (just my 'ol standby Fat Tire) so I dunno.

Stopped by @TrveBrewer for a growler of cold today. Surprise, no growlers... again. FML. As much as I want that glass I'm bringing my own next time.

Big shout out to @TrveBrewer , made my dreams of a TRVE growler come trve today. Filled it up with Cold. That beer is solid. The malt comes through so clean, hops are surprisingly fruity and spicy. I could drink this by the gallon.

Not new, but Amigos Borrachos and Khores from Call to Arms are pretty damn killer. Had some Borrachos on Saturday and was quickly reminded how good it is.

Mountain Sun had a Vienna lager on last night that was really tasty. I love that place and am not sure I've ever had a dud from them...

Mountain Sun continues to kill it (and stay full) while flying under the radar.

One state over, Uinta's Pils is quite tasty. Grassy, honey hop flavors and very drinkable.

Had a pint of 3 golden hairs from Grimm Brothers tonight, solid pils. One of the best from the state, those guys deserve more hype.

Had a couple lagers on my quick NoCo trip on Saturday. Grimm has a session lager (Boudreaux) and a Vienna (Problem Solved) that I could drink all day.

Zwei has pils, hell, dunkel, and vienna that all rock. The pils is less dry than the ones at Prost and Bierstadt, which is a nice change of pace and is just as good.

Edit: I also bought some Wibby Double Dunkel. It isn't a German Dunkel but it IS tasty. Lots of vanilla, almost like a dark lager version of Ice Cream Clone.
