But today we’re introducing a third member to Famille Rue, and those words are exactly what Offshoot™ Beer Co. will be all about. Hoppy beers, in cans, brewed by our talented team here in Orange County, CA.

It’s not uncommon for a brewery to open its doors with a quintessential IPA (or even a plethora of them), and that’s a good idea, as the IPA has consistently topped production and growth numbers in the craft beer market. Besides, who doesn’t love a good IPA? We do!

    So what took so long?

One of the workers came out and said something to him, but I'm not sure what she said because he continued to move through the line with them, and at each stop he would stack the Noble Canniversary cans on top of the display because (I guess) those were the cream of the crop of his 16+ can display (which shone bright and proud in the Saturday morning sun).

Honestly though, the real entrepreneur was that dude that backed up his SUV into the front of the parking lot and sold tamales out of the back for about 20 minutes. I thought that was pretty awesome (no sarcasm).

Can't wait for the next trend of beer culture: Beer Release Farmers Market.

That is the problem with the Monkish employees in relation to the patrons, they know that nothing is going to happen even if they blatantly break the rules. No drinking in the parking lot? Bottle share at 0130! No littering? Trash everywhere. No parking in this parking lot? Completely full.

Kudos to the tamale man, a true entrepreneur. Were they good?

Tamales were actually pretty good! A bit on the pricey side at $3 each but definitely larger than your usual tamale so I think worth it. A bit disappointed I lost his business card though...

I'm thinking more Tijuana border crossing less Farmer's market.

I was at Smog on a friday around lunch time a few weeks ago and a guy rolls up in his astro van with tamales and champurrado. Same guy?
I thought the tamale was pretty good. It was different though. Had what seemed to be a tomatillo salsa smothering the tamale.
There's a fruit stand on Western, north of Del Amo that is pretty money also.

Monkish sure makes a lot of hats. I know all breweries have hats, but they really really really make a lot of hats. As a beer drinker but non-hat wearer this perplexes me.

On a side note, I did enjoy their April Fools' Day Joke of "Monkish Glassware Co"

Stopped in about 6:30 tonight on my way home from LAX. Got a fill of WBFs and a pint of MPCF which I thought was just OK. I asked Eric about WBFs and he said it was going to be one of the can releases, but said production was behind schedule and since they haven't had anything on for growler fills in a while they decided to release it for fills. It is 1PP though.

    Cheers,
