I'm very happy for a lot of people who will be able to try Jai Alai, but I can't help but be "meh" about it. New Jersey has me spoiled at this point.

I have to agree. Was excited to try it when I went to Tampa for a work trip and wasn't impressed. I think NJ beers have spoiled me as well.

We'll probably see jai alai and their lager. Which is not exciting. Now if we start seeing invasion, guyerberra, tobogaba, or some of their bottled stouts sours and seasonals then get excited. Their sour Grove series is phenomenal and good gourd is probably the best pumpkin beer I've ever had.

Apparently it's initially including Jai Alai, Maduro, Lager, and their Belgian. Three of those will probably sit on shelves for a while.

It'll be a hot product for a few weeks or so, then it'll just unfortunately sit on the shelves and get old.

so true for me as well.... I haven't bought a non-local beer (be it NJ or NY) in quite some time, except for the occasional Sierra Nevada, which I keep around for my father.

This will appeal mostly to the same people buying New Belgium stuff in NJ now. I don't think I've personally bought anything packaged from them, but I know several people that consistently grab New Belgium IPA's as a go to. There is a large section of people that enjoy craft beer that don't go to local breweries or even realize awesome fresh craft beer exists fairly locally.

Pffft hobbyists rather than obsessions like us... I know my wife really enjoys the browse so I will occasionally pick it up, and like has been mentioned I will probably buy 1 6 pack of Jai Alai because I have always liked it... but after that.....

While I also agree that this kinda of news would have been great 3 years ago I cant help but be excited to try out their beers. I have herd about them for years and now Im finally going to get a chance to try them out. Always excited to try something new.

I more or less agree with the majority of you. With all of the great local beer around this isn't a big deal but I don't always have the time to get out to brewery releases. Some weeks I have to settle for whatever fresh hoppy beers are on the shelves at my local spots. In these instances I usually grab either Neshaminy Creek County Line, Magnify Vine Shine, or something from Bolero Snort or Brix City. IMO, Jai Alai is as good or better than any of those options. I probably won't buy it more than once every month or two but it's still a really good year round ipa (not to mention it still has a 94 BA rating after all these years).

PA gets it (in limited quantities) so we might.

Who knows with the beer that's coming to NJ will be from the Oscar Blues brewery in NC and not direct from Florida.
