Wow, so I am no amateur when it comes to beer and I have researched the internet(I even wikipidiaed it), but I still haven't seen anyone spell out how to pronounce this style of beer. Is it (Sigh-zon), or (Say-zon). I think it may be the later, since it is French.

FWIW, that is how most US craft beer drinkers pronounce it (with the accent on the second syllable). A person who's first language is French would likely pronounce it a bit differently; like Say- sawn (with the n sound being almost silent).

    Cheers!

Say-sawn would be my take on the French pronunciation and that's how I've always said it. The 'z' sound in the second syllable though is definitely acceptable among American craft brew discussions. Never heard anyone pronounce the first syllable like 'sigh' though so I would avoid that.

I pronounce it say-zon. It is my favorite style so hopefully I'm saying it correctly. I'm not French so I guess it doesn't matter.

Huh, that's actually pretty close to how I've been pronouncing it, and I don't know a word of French besides the standard "bonjour, oui, baguette, croissant" type of stuff that pretty much everyone picks up (though my Ns have probably not been quite as close to that "almost silent" point as an actual French-speaker's would.)

    Say-zon
    (Don't pronounce the 'n')

    Says the French speaker.

Same with Cantillon. Don't pronounce the n in the end (as in Cantillone...)

    Santé.

My French friends speak American English with their native accent so I reserve the right to speak French with mine.

Say-zon, but will try to not pronounce the n in the future.

    Cheers!

More like KAHN-ti-YOHn (with barely a hint of n at the end - you tongue doesn't touch the top of your mouth/back of your teeth as it would with a full N.)

Kinda like swallowing the n up your nose....the face gets involved in the enunciation!

I always pronounce it "Say-zohn" (rhymes with John) but less emphasis on the "n".

You could always just kinda cough in the middle of pronouncing if unsure.

"Yes sir, I'd like to try the say **cough** **harumpth** **ahem** "
