First batch was 7.5%


According to the email that I just got, the new batch will be 8.8%. I guess the new batch is an imperialized coffee porter.

 

Is this barrel aged coffee in the coffee porter or is this a barrel aged beer... they haven't specified but the way it's written makes me think just the coffee is barrel aged.

 

wow. haven't been to Smog in a while. need to change that

 

Certainly hope the entire beer is barrel aged. If its just the coffee ima pass

Anyone try the new BA Coffee Porter?

 

i went after monkish... its good! i liked all their BA offerings

 

tried the coconut last night. huge coffee. minimal coconut. very little barrel character

Would've have liked to see 6 packs of cans, but oh well.
A 6 pack of Squirrel or Hoptonic in cans? Sign me up.

 

I'm no bottling/canning line expert but the pic they posted... that's for bottles? I first assumed cans.

 

I assumed bottles based on the hashtag:

And the model number of the machine looks to be for bottles.
Hope I'm wrong.
But it's Smog and they have my undying devotion and I will purchase a sixer of whatever they put out.

Echoing the above, six-packs of Hoptonic, Squirrel, Little Bo Pils, Coffee Porter and/or Amarilla Gorilla would all be excellent. And given their incredibly reasonable pricing (comparatively to most), I'll be buying a ton of any of them once they're released.
