Wait, they announce releases two hours before? Or you need to be in line two hours before?

 

They usually announce two hours before.

 

They announce 2 hours before, people wait in line 2+ hours before they announce. (You read that correctly)
Lately they have been selling out 2-3 hours after opening.

 

Wow. So people "know" they are going to make an announcement of the release 2 hours in advance of the announcement, of which the release is usually 2 hours later. How far in advance do they announce that they will have an announcement? My head hurts lol

 

They don't know, they loiter hoping for a release.

 

I wish I had two hours to wait for an announcement that indicated a release two hours later. #ineedanewjob

 

Remember, they indicate how many can releases they believe they'll have that week on their site. Update notifications on twitter are your friend.

 

On that Monday the website will be updated as to how many releases for that week. Since the theory is they released more on tuesday (not lately though) folks started just hanging out there starting then before the 2-3pm announce time. Not more than, say 20 people. So whatever, let losers be losers.

But around that 2-3pm instagram post is the start and being there roughly between then and just a little after cans go on sale is your best bet for getting cans.

 

Did anyone get to try Rose Tinted Glasses yet? Good? Bad?

 

I liked it a lot, loved the blood orange notes,crisp dry and really refreshing and low ABV!! BTW, line of 50+@ 2:15 today for growler fills.

That's where they all wound up ! It was a zoo, but then I remembered a lot of people are off for Good Friday and they all decided to hit up Monkish this afternoon !

They also put on another DIPA for fills today which didn't help much too. One request I always get when our extended family gather's at our home for a holiday is....can you get some Monkish ?!!!! Planned in advance and stopped in on my way home from downtown LA about 1:45, still more than normal but was out at 2:15-2:20 ish and was blown away by the line. Heard a lot of folks saying it looked like a can release. If I pulled up at the time I left I probably would have done what you did.
