[IMG] So I guess I will kick off the weekend, as good as KBS, probably not, but $12.99 a 6 or $7.99 a bottle, not a hard decision at all. Have a great one BA'S! Probably going to have a KBS immediately after, side by side almost.

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday and enjoy the holiday weekend! Will have some relatives visiting later today. I only get to see them a few times per year.

World class American stout. Flavors of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted dark bread, and smoke/charred malt; with moderate herbal, piney, spicy hops; and some lighter raisin, plum, licorice yeast fruitiness. Moderate pine and roast/charred bitter finish. Creamy, silky, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced medium-full body mouthfeel. Light increasing bitter/char dryness. One of my top classic favorites in the style, along with Kalamazoo stout; which I haven't gotten in a while. I should grab some soon.

Awesome imperial red! Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, toffee, toasted bread malt sweetness; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy/citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; balanced bready creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds and increasing dryness with a touch of hop astringency. Super smooth, mild warming 9.4%. Very bright, juicy, and dank hops; with great malt balance. Highly aggressive but not overwhelming. This is delicious, I'll have to grab another 4 pack.

Amazing quad. Glad these are year round and 4 packs now. Flavors of raisin, plum, fig, date, lightly tart cherry, apple, pepper, clove, brown sugar, brown bread, toffee, vanilla, toasted oak, bourbon, coconut, and yeast earthiness. Moderate peppery yeast/oak spice and light fruit tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full bodied. Creamy/grainy with slight slick/syrupy notes in the mouthfeel; but still ending nicely crisp and drying from carbonation, spice, and barrel tannins. Awesome barrel balance, with great well rounded complexity from yeast and malts. Very smooth sipping, mildly warming 11.9%. Hoping to see Sixth Glass 4 packs around here soon as well. Need to revisit.

Fantastic batch this year! Definitely feels like an improvement over the bomber version in 2015. Flavors of big dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, vanilla, rye whiskey, toasted oak, light charred malt. Hint of coconut. Light-moderate roasted coffee bitterness and rye whiskey/oak spiciness on the finish. Medium-full body and very creamy/silky, with a touch of sticky/chalky roast/barrel notes in the mouthfeel. Slightly drying. Never boozy, mildly warming for 12.2%. Glad I was able to get 2 6 packs, still have plenty left. The price was just too good to pass up again. Feeling even smoother and silkier now than when it was fresh!

    Cheers

I haven't listened to Black Metal in a while. Went on a binge all night. Amazing. Been loving my new Bose headphones. Been particularly hooked on this album.

Let's get this day rollin' BA! Banded Horn Barrel Aged Mountain starting Saturday out right.

This is as good or better then I remember. And it what I remember the first time was mind blowing. Then I was unable to find a bottle for a couple years. And you know when you try a beer and go wow, then try it again a year later and you say meh, that's the opposite of what I'm thinking here.

    Cheers!

This is the most carb'd I've ever seen a Frog brew. Bottle is a few years old, plus it's barrel aged, and it's only a 6.2% porter--probably influencing it a bit.

Easily the best sub-7% barrel aged anything I've ever had. I was a little wary to cellar it with the low abv but I've never had anything go wrong by them. It never ceases to amaze me that these guys can develop so much body and flavor in such a light brew, especially since they have very few lower alcohol options.

Good morning BAs! Starting the day with one from @THSdrummer from NBS BIF #5:

A very nice quad aged in former scotch barrels. I can't pick up any peat or barrels, but it's still pretty good. I'd like to try the base quad sometime.

Gonna go to my local distributor (beer) and stock up on Weyerbacher's Cinnsanity - been too busy drinking it to review it. if you like cinnamon and barleywines, this is the one to get!

[IMG] I am very surprised by the results of the back to back with this and Lagunitas High Westified, not much difference, except the huge price on this one. Both great and still very happy with my KBS stash. That being said $7.99 times 18 $143.82 or a case (24) bottles at $51.96, wow a huge difference. Thank you Lagunitas!
