I'm usually out on a patio or doing yard work, so anymore, I have gone away from your IPAs (they dont quench my thirst), and jumped more into the quick guzzlers.

Anderson Valley GT Gose (or BO if I can find it)
    Pilsner Urquell
    FW Pivo Pils
Dos Equis Lager (dont care what people say. Ice cold with a lime, it quenches my thirst)
    Local options:
La Cumbre Beer (international style lager.. some say too close to Bud/Miller lol)
    Marble Pilsner (german style pils)

All sit within 4.2% to 5.3%.

"Go to" in the summer signifies more of a session friendly beer. Especially with the heat, one can get drunk and dehydrated off of one IPA. I've lived that story for too many summers trying to maintain with IPAs, stouts, and reds, and those days don't last too long.

I did have a relatively fresh Founders ALL DAY 19oz can yesterday that seemed to fall more within a craft pilsner (as far as crispness). So that one may get a chance soon. Cant call it a "go to" yet

I was going to say Troegs Sunshine Pils, and that answer is still applicable, but oh my, have I found a new love for Dogfish Head SeaQuench Ale. That stuff is fan-freaking-tastic.

I'm assuming that's a Michigan highwa, long remembered from days gone by. Thanks for a great memory.

Back to the original question at hand. I believe in the phrase "drink local". That being said, I'm leaning toward Crystal Lakes " Busted Prop" and Buckledowns "Belt and Suspenders".

Maine Island Trail Ale from Rising Tide, Prarie Standard, and occasionally Allagash Sours but those are pricy. Otherwise I'm hiding in the A.C. drinking DIPA.

This seems to change every year, and even moreso this year with my recent change in local. Currently:

    -Fort George Suicide Squeeze IPA
-Modern Times Fortunate Islands Tropical Wheat
-Deschutes Fresh squeezed as it is now local to me
-Prairie Phantasmagoria when I can find it fresh

Very sad that I can no longer call Toppling goliath Pseudo Sue among my go to summer beers though. Or todd the Axe Man
