    Morning BA's

Real foggy earlier as the air temp was in the upper 30's and the water is probably in the 50's by now....supposed to be a nice day in the upper 60's - so some sailing will likely be on my agenda!

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Usual Sunday for me over here. Bottle returns, double laundry(missed last week with the holiday/travel), and some work to catch up on. I have to make some kind of presentation for tomorrow.

Haven't had this in a long time. Heard they doubled the dry hopping last month, so I got a fresh six pack last weekend. Just as awesome as I remember. Aroamas and flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, and pine hops; with some light caramel, toasted bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied with balanced bready/grainy creaminess and sticky/resinous hops. Quickly increasing resin/rind dryness, with no hop astringency. Very crisp and easy drinking! This definitely feels a lot more dank than I remember, but it's been 3 years or so probably. WIll definitely grab another pack when I go back down to Ohio!

Incredible quad! Flavors of raisin, plum, fig, date, lightly tart cherry, apple, pepper, clove, brown sugar, brown bread, toffee, vanilla, toasted oak, bourbon, coconut, and yeast earthiness. Moderate peppery yeast/oak spice and light fruit tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full bodied. Creamy/grainy with slight slick/syrupy notes in the mouthfeel; but still ending nicely crisp and drying from carbonation, spice, and barrel tannins. Awesome barrel balance, with great well rounded complexity from yeast and malts. Very smooth sipping, mildly warming 11.9%. I keep buying this every week, this is one of my favorite new year round beers for sure. Hoping to see Sixth Glass soon, and Dark Truth. Should have just got a pack when I was in Ohio, because they get it.

Insane as expected this year! Flavors of huge mango, melon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, guava, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey and spicy rye bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hops earthiness. Good sized pine/rind/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied with balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resin/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Very mildly warming ABV, dangerously smooth. Glad I got a 6 pack. I hop to see the Born Again Yesterday eventually. The regular Born Yesterday is probably my favorite standard IPA of all time. This has all of the same dankness at a much higher ABV, while remaining well attenuated and not overly sweet. Nearly the same hop bill too. I love Mosaic and Equinox the most.

This year's batch is amazing! Flavors of huge chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark bread; lighter notes of raisin, prune, fig, date, coconut, and licorice. Balancing roasted bitterness and bourbon/oak spice against sweetness on the finish. Very smooth with a creamy/silky full bodied mouthfeel; some light slick/syrupy notes and chalky roast character as well. The barrel character is enormous. The body is definitely full, but the spicy bourbon/oak character gives a drying note to the finish; which makes the mouthfeel feel thinner than it really is. Very rich, balanced, and complex. Smoother and less boozy than the 2015 batch at a fresher age than I remember(despite being higher in ABV). Glad I was lucky to get 2 bottles, this was horribly limited. With all other DM variants I was able to get at least 2 4-packs, which is my normal want allotment. S'mores is next up. I still need to review Mexican spice cake.

Good Sunday morning to all. I would like to apologize for the recycled pic, but my cell phone is in the bedroom with my sleeping wife. Enjoying this now with a bowl of Kellogs Chocolatey Delight and might I say they pair very well. Cheers!

So I decided to do something crazy this morning. Gotta push mow and bag an acre of land so I took a huge oversized cup my daughter made me and pored a KBS and Sunday Morning Stout into it. Now mind you , I actually prefer SMS over KBS , it is a great start to the day regardless. Cheers.

Good morning BAs! Cross post with NBS:

My thanks to @Harrison8, the BA formally known as @THSdrummer, for this excellent (squared) stout. I'd heard of it but never really thought I'd get to try it. And that's the beauty of NBS BIF!

..and was surprised to find this on the menu at X2O on the Hudson last night when the only
