I think I got the very last pour of Magic Hop Dust yesterday at WR, was really solid. Wish I could've gone back today for Lil' Sebastian, but had to head home too early.

I really think Juicy Jay at Legion though is up there for the best readily available IPA in the state right now. If they canned it semi-regularly I think people would gobble it up.

Getting that buttered popcorn from my second can. Yikes.

Couldn't agree more on Juicy Jay. It transcends style, much in the way that my beloved fat heads IPAs from home do (who will be opening a Charlotte location in 2018). Juicy Jay is a little hazy, super juicy, a little bit west coast. Just really fucking satisfying. AND...and...I can find it on tap throughout the city fairly often. It's easily my go to amongst Charlotte area IPAs.

I really like Juicy Jay too. I don't know if it looks cloudy enough for some of y'all, but it sure tastes mighty dandy.

Juicy Jay would do a killing in cans. It is however, like Kbuzz said, really starting to pop up more in the city, even beyond the typical beer bars. Legion is a very underrated gem (although you would never think it is underrated when you walk in...it's always full).

Not really sure what their plans are for canning, if there is any. I read all the local CLT beer articles and I can't recall Legion ever talking about canning in the future.

Mcgill Avenue I had yesterday at High Branch in concord. A fantastic IPA after a hike at Crowders mtn.

Had High Branch's "Pounder" pale ale the other day and really liked it. The 24 oz crowler was cool too.

I went on Sunday and was blown away by McGill Avenue. I went in January and fell in love with Pounder so I made a stop on the way back from Richmond and picked up some growlers for my brother. As awesome as Pounder and Unstable are, McGill Avenue is up there with the best NC IPAs.

Yeah I'm definitely going back to High Branch in June when I go see Iron Maiden, might try to bring some to tailgate. If they have anything. They only had crowler or two on Saturday.

They typically do a great job of posting on Facebook when they are doing releases, with pretty advanced notice as well.

Another case of "I should have listened to BA" last night.

I bought a can of Clouds Due and it was so blah I don't really know anything about the hops used in this beer but it had hardly any distinct flavor imo. The only positive was that it was drinkable? idk.

Looks like Bond Brothers is brewing a brother/sister/cousin of Long Stride, called Long Story. Can't wait to see what that is all about.

I talked with the bartender on Friday. Long Stride won't be like Local where they rotate hops and still call it local. Long Stride will be one hop profile anything else with be Long Story.

Also said that Long Stride should be back on in the next couple of weeks.

Dreamchaser's is the latest Charlotte brewery to pump out a NE IPA that is worth checking out, called Yard Breather.

I love this new trend of smaller breweries being able to offer above average NE IPAs. A few years back it seemed a lot harder to find quality west coast IPAs.

Yeah dude, Yard Breather has been discussed previously in this thread. A high quality beer that they are planning on canning on a regular basis. First round of cans was about a month ago...great stuff.

Bottle Rev picked up some cans of New Anthem's Steez and New Jack- would recommend folks in Raleigh giving either one a shot. People in Wilmington are pretty stoked on both of them.
