For anyone still on the hunt, Total Wine in Spokane has them. $5.50 a bottle, one per customer.

Does EWA own this thread or can anyone chime in? Story: Saw on Stogies & Hops Facebook page they had KBS. Ran over. Sold out. Walked out with 2 Alesong Maestro & 2 Rhino Suit & 4 cans of Evil Twin Even More Jesus. I don't feel like I missed out. End of story. Had to tell someone.

According to the monthly Belmont Station email newsletter, the official KBS release date is either this Friday or Saturday. That being said, the beer has already started showing up around town here in PDX. Picked up a 12 ounce bottle at John's yesterday, and was told they've been selling bottles since the beginning of the week. I'm not sure if you get a break on a 4 pack price, but individual bottles are going for $6.29 at John's. I was also told that Costco is selling bombers this year, priced in the $16.50 range.

Just my two cents, but I like this year's version better than last year's. The beer seems a bit richer, with a LOT more coffee character than in previous years. Especially considering the price point, I was pretty impressed with the 2018 KBS.

That's great news, I had pretty much sworn off KBS after last year's run. Does it show up on draft at the usual suspects?

Yep. In fact, Belmont Station will have both the 2016 and 2017 (I'm assuming their newsletter is referring to this year's and last year's version) versions on tap this Saturday in the "new and improved" biercafe.

Last year, both Tin Bucket and Beer O'clock had it as well. Probably other places as well, but those were the places I encountered it.

For us eastern WA folks, looks like it's getting tapped at The Lantern on April 11, per the Founders link @maltmaster420 posted above.

Why it looks like there's an event less than 2 miles from my home. It would be rude of me not to drop by for a pour.

Also: How long have you had your current profile pic, @woemad ? Top notch. I'm a fan.

Back in high school in the 90s I had a friend really into Genesis, so I got into Hackett from a fondness for Genesis music from their prog era, and have most of SH's albums. I was really looking forward to a Squackett tour, but Squire died before that could materialize.

For the current NBS BIF, I left a hint that my target shared a name in common with one of my favorite guitarists. When that met with no response I put up the current avatar to draw further attention to it. This also didn't work. After nearly 20 hints on the thread dedicated to this BIF, I believe his receipt of the package out for for delivery today will be the first time he realizes I am his sender.

Indeed, twould be quite churlish of you not to favor them with your patronage. I do not kin that you be of that ilk, and have little doubt but that you will partake of a glass of that joyful elixir. I hope that it suits thee well.

(Am enjoying a glass myself at the collective on tap in Woodinville tonight)

How ironic, I was in Collective on Tap the same evening you posted. Recently moved to the neighborhood.

Well, KBS wasn't bad. I wouldn't put too much effort into locating bottles. I saw it at Costco, but a little surprised with the price. Way better deal to grab a 4-pack and see how it develops over time. Costco is weird like that. Sometimes they price things ridiculously low (Founders CBS), and then turn around to price KBS at almost $17.

Me personally, I'm getting burnt out on these coffee bombs from various releases. Simply enjoy a beautiful aged or non-aged option without the addition of tons of coffee. But that's just me.

The $17 price tag is actually quite a bit below normal retail (which I think is in the $20 or more range). That being said, the pricing on 750's makes absolutely no sense to me, as the 4 pack deal is a far better bang for your buck price. Unless you have no other alternative, I can't imagine why anyone would get a 750 as opposed to a 12 ounce bottle(s) or 4 pack.

Regarding the Woodinville COT, is there anything else in the area you would recommend? I know Fish Brewing has a tasting room up over by winery row, but their hours are pretty limited (and the selection there never seems to be all that great). Nothing wrong with the Collective, but it would be nice to have some other options to visit (my wife's mother lives up that way, so we come up for the weekend roughly every other month).

I’ve never been to it, but I’ve heard good things about Sumerian Brewing, which is out that way. I had their Lucidity Pilsner in a can last week, and I enjoyed it more than Reuben’s or Fremont’s recent pils offerings.

COT's had a couple of their beer's on tap when I stopped by. Probably should have at least sampled some of them, but as I'd never heard of them (which I took to be a bad sign), I didn't pull the trigger. I'll give them a try next time.

    Thanks!

That's what we're seeing here in PDX as well. I understand you can get 4 packs for $20 or even a bit less close to the mother ship, but I think what you're seeing is pretty much the norm in the NW.

One of my favorites in Woodinville is Triplehorn. Give them a try I'd be interested in knowing what you think.
