Nah, this is more like an Oakland A's type trade. The East Coast would be giving up one outstanding, proven quantity/quality brewery, for 4 small, currently under achieving breweries that they could bring along, develop, and round into outstanding breweries. It's exactly the sort of trade that the late, great Charlie O. Finley would have loved.

I have no interest in participating in this "thought experiment" or whatever, but I'll just leave this here:

I prefer Breakside. Looks like we're gonna tangle.

I'd like to trade Elysian for any of the above mentioned. I don't care about the size.

Well, once one fights one Inbev bean, one fights the whole Inbev burrito, doesn't one?

I like the burrito reference, but what does this mean? I think of InBev more like a sloppy soup that covers everything if you don't clean up the spill soon enough.

Instead of a trade, I'd turn all existing breweries into businesses that paid their employees as much as they could and focused on beer before profit and learned the craft as they grow....and I'd turn craft beer fans into unicorns who would bless all with rainbows and love. And more breweries like Upright and deGarde and Breakside and Skookum and HM and Cloudburst and Iron Goat and Propolis and our soon to be breweries like Garden Path and Fair Isle would be wonderful, too...ps, thanks deGardeBrewing for the awesome beer for tomorrow's HHC! We will get you back.
