That would be nice, but given their size 3 weeks will never happen. They'll have to store that stuff in space they don't have. Maybe just the whole day, from open to close. That would die things down, but it wouldn't change all that much as people will want to get theirs asap, or there will be a cluster around 5-6pm when people get off work.

oh right, I didn't consider the storage factor. This is why I don't run a brewery

With the majority of their releases being hoppy beers, there's also no way they would want to have someone picking it up 3 weeks after it was bottled - when one of their motivations is to get it in the hands of drinkers as quickly as possible.

    From the label,
"To us, a hoppy beer's shelf life is measured in days, maybe weeks. If you're drinking this beer any later than 21 days from it's bottling date, you're not drinking the beer as it was intended"

Making the pickup window 1-2 days would be reasonable to me. However, that point is moot because it doesn't seem likely Cellarmaker would bother with online ticketing/sales anytime soon.

Cellarmaker has no reason to go the Internet route. There has only been one crazy release thus far, the aforementioned Juice Gymnastics. Otherwise, as long as you show up day of you are pretty safe to get a bottle. And with their small space, I'm sure they'd want it gone even quicker lol I'll probably show up tomorrow around 3 (they open at 2), grab my allotment, and try the Dobis + if it's tapped - somehow I've never had that hoppy from CM. But then again I'm in outside sales so I have freedom to get to the Fieldwork, CM, or Bottle Shop (Alvarado Street, etc) releases pretty easily when I'm not covering the Portland/Seattle part of my territory. I'm selfish lol

Socal has to do the Internet stuff because there are 7 billion people down there. I was down there the weekend of the 22nd and tried to get in on that Bottle Logic Down Down release. Refreshing from 5:59-6:10 for a 6pm release and I didn't get it. Modern Times from what I've read gives first dibs to their beer club.

The only one in Norcal that would justify this is Moonraker IMO

So not sure how many of you guys saw this but in addition to the bottles, here's what's going on tap today:

    Dank Williams - Obviously
Dobis + - 100% Citra IPA. Definitely grabbing some of that.
Phosphene Being - TIPA w.Citra, Mosaic, Centennial
    Sunbreak - Belgian saison

I'm gonna be so effed up for my afternoon work meetings.

Phosphene Being is interesting. Anyone know if they've ever made a TIPA or used Conan yeast before?

I don't know about Conan yeast but as far as TIPAs, I've had:

Dank Statement - dank WC TIPA
Quadruple Dobis - juicy NE'ish TIPA

Some info on Untappd says that they've used Conan in Orange Julian, Barbara Streisand, and Double Comfy Pants.

I just happen to be in the city today while driving back up to NorCal so I'll stop by and get some bottles. I've never been to Cellarmaker before, does anyone know if they will be filling growlers of the TIPA?

Yes they are, but it's gonna be expensive.

Not sure if you care but, Conan is supposedly the Vermont yeast used in Heady Topper. I think I've seem Cellarmaker describe some of their beers with terms like "expressive yeast" or "low flocculation." My guess is that those beers were made with Conan as well because those are common descriptors for that yeast strain.

You're probably right. As a homebrewer, I'd love if breweries listed all of their ingredients but I understand the appeal of being a bit cryptic

A very mellow bottle release. Wouldn't be surprised if the bottles last late into the evening or possibly into tomorrow.

So hot out I didn't mess with any Doubles or Triples, but Dobis Plus was tasting great and refreshing. Sunbreak was tasty, and Lost Wisdom was definitely the best batch of that beer that I've had to date.

Just cracked my growler of Phosphene Being, this is killer! I usually stop at Russian River and get a case of Pliny when I'm in the Bay Area but this blows that away. Cellarmaker will now be my usual beer stop.

Wasn't a fan of the TIPA, but Dobis Plus is very good. Quiet bottle release, I got there at 2 and there was no line. Will try a DW bottle this weekend.

Dobis Plus is the best on their board right now. Taco Hands Friday though...
