I'm just finally catching on to the antics of this mysterious "crew." :grinning:

    "The crew"?

You mean MNBT "no rules" but with many rules?

They're just a copy of another group called MNBT started by a brewer at Steel Toe.

I can only assume that MNBT stands for Many Nathans Banding Together

Definitely lacking the unfettered freedom of BA. Are we on a mission to get every MN thread locked?

Blackstack is very tasty. Great beers. I'm hoping that prices come down though as they move in to distro and have other revenue streams (fingers crossed). Between pint pours that aren't pints and the prices being a dollar or two more than other spots it is a little harder to justify going there but the people there are great and they are brewing better than many others in the area that have been around much longer. I'm still steadily in the proBlackstack camp.

Shouldn't we be more accepting of the higher prices for the crowlers/growlers? Wouldn't it make it less likely the hoaders hoard?

I feel if the price is high enough for hoarders to be dissuaded from hoarding it'll be high enough for me to just pass on it.

Are NE IPA even meant to be hoarded? :grimacing:

Not sure you can have it both ways, unless breweries impose strict limits on per person sales. I don't see that happening on anything but very limited releases. Anything that is brewed with any regularity a brewer is going to want to turnover quickly, especially if they don't distribute.

Fine, "Wouldn't it make it less likely the for beasts of burden to be employed to corner large portions of the available stock of a product for secondary distribution to third parties?"

I do like Blackstack -their beer was much much better than Headflyer right out of the gate but here's a few ideas that spring to mind when I go there .

    1. More collaborations with True Stone Coffee , damn that Spare Grounds was great but let's see a nice 6% Coffee Stout on tap year round!!. Espresso Porters and Mocha IPA's are also appreciated .

    2. Can you please add up a damn taproom list of beers above your bar . I get you only have 5 right now but some signage is better than none .

    3. Bike racks - it's completely crazy that there are none . I really hope the building owners assist and the city give them a permit to get it done .

    4. Do something cool with those huge empty white walls . Either bring in a Minneapolis artist to paint those up with some cool design or project some art or MN United games on those big walls . They are been severely underutilized.

    5 . Crowlers - 755 in cans is appreciated!

Steps off soapbox!! Now back to enjoying this Schells Bock.
