It is funny you say that, I'm the opposite by a hair I thought the Dunkel was a fuzz better than the Vienna then their Helles then the Pilsner.

Fantastic. Big bright/juicy flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange rind, light pepper, and pine hop/fruit notes; with some light caramel, toasted bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Medium sized pine/rind/spicy/grassy bitterness on the finish. Moderately dry and sticky mouthfeel, with light balancing grainy creaminess. Lasting hop/citrus oils on the finish, with no bitter astringency. I love this just as much as Grapefruit Sculpin for the most part(as long as it's fresh), much better priced. Amazing hop/fruit vibrancy. Refreshingly drinkable for an IPA, never aggressive.

Excellent brown ale again this year. Flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, maple, toffee, brown bread, nuttiness, toasted oak, chocolate, light coffee/vanilla, and herbal/light peppery hops. Light-moderate herbal bitterness and oak spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus body with nice creaminess and light sticky hop/tannic oak notes in the mouthfeel. Lightly drying from oak and bitter hops. I love this stuff a lot. Great standard brown ale complexity; great oak presence without being too overpowering. I drank a couple 6 packs last year, will have to grab another pack if I see it. Was a winter release.

Incredible stuff! Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with wheat, white bread, light honey malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy/citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced bready/grainy creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds and increasing dryness with no hop astringency. Super dank and juicy hops with nice malt balance. Glad to have this as a year round available beer. Old Nation is shipping this out basically every week now, along with Boxer(more limited though); and has more NE IPAs being released in the series soon. MI has been killing it with the new beers lately. Definitely will be grabbing another pack soon.

Amazing batch this year, as usual. Flavors of huge cinnamon, mint, nutmeg, ginger, clove, vanilla, coffee, cream, and pepper spice; with balanced milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, fudge, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted dark bread malt sweetness. Light-moderate herbal spice and roasted bitterness; touch of char. Bittersweet balanced finish, with a fantastic creamy/silky/velvety full body mouthfeel. Some light sticky/chalky notes and dryness from the spices and roast malts. Very smooth with a small lingering warmth of alcohol and pepper heat. Super rich and decadent. Perfect balance of spices and stout flavors. One of my favorite spiced stouts along with regular Bomb. Still a bit left on the shelf, will grab more before it's all gone again. Still need to review Pe-Kan lol. That one is still widely available, so I still have time to decide if I want to stock up after I review it.

I rate their pilsner slightly higher than the Helles but that is personal preference. The Helles is a little sweet for me. von Trapp has very nice seasonals as well, like the wiessbeir and Oktoberfest.

Photobucket is sucking at the moment. On the plus side, I am glad I creeped over the Michigan line and found a can of Old Nation M-43.
    Juice bomb indeed!
