    @kodt

Do you have a list of photos you need for the 2017 wiki? Make it like a DLD scavenger hunt.

If you go to Hailstorm the. You should stop at Open Bottle. They usually have special taps and give aways for DLD ticket holders.

So it really sounds like alot of people are hitting the Hampton on Friday (where I was planning on going). Anybody from here interested in *attempting* to get a BA bottle share going Friday night with at least a few of us there? I'd be very interested to see if the conversation would still be all Dragon Abortion, butthurt group A flippers and what bottles we are bringing the next day.

I cannot emphasize enough the need to watch your bottles. If you can drop them off somewhere safe and head back to the event, even better. As people drink, their vigilance naturally goes down and they become an easier victim for having their stuff stolen. Also, as asshats drink, they become drunken asshats who will look for opportunities to steal other people's bottles. It's guaranteed someone (more likely multiple someones) will have their bottles stolen over the course of the day. Just don't let it be you.

I'd be down for a BA share at the Hampton but we'll have to be careful. If @ChiCubs78 or @HouseofWortship come there's a real chance none of the rest of us will be able to get a word in

Why the sudden change to if you don't pick up your allotment during the designated group time you have to wait until the end of group E to pick it up?

I think this is more for overall flow. If the bags are truly random, and anyone could enter with their group or later, some/many folks may just say "screw it, I'll grab my bag with Group E so I don't have to worry about theft/loss for most of the day." This is great, except that the Group E line would be a mess (defeats the purpose of multiple Groups).

Will the guest taps improve this year?

I hope so. I'm not sure how total guest tap beer sales from last year compared to other years, but from what I hear there hasn't been a lot of praise for last year's lineup. I'm hoping that FFF looks at this as another revenue stream that could be improved. If they bring in rarer beers, they'll make more money. I say rarer, and not better. There's nothing wrong with easy-to-find beers. But since there are so many beers being shared for free, FFF will need to step up their guest taps if they want them to compete with everything else available.

I also think this depends on the weather more than anything. If it's cold and miserable, a lot of people will stay under the tents and share what they brought. If the weather is better, people will be more likely to explore for longer periods. This means that more people may (potentially) buy more beer from the guest taps, which means more turnover, more options, better chances for rarer beers.

Logistically, they have to. They cannot start scanning tickets at 9pm for A people who need to go grab their bottles before 11am or else their whole system will fall apart. They will need to extend group A's bottle times and push back B-E. Classic case of winging it by FFF.

There's plenty of time between 9PM and 11AM for them to get Group A thru I dunno what you're talking about

yeah they typically start scanning tickets before gates open for this reason I think. I think the bottle pick up lines will be very quick this year since everything is pre-packaged....so even if they didn't start scanning at 9AM, group A should be through the line well before 11. I'm curious if they will allow later groups to start earlier, like last year, because of the efficiency of the line.

Ok so atleast 3 of us will be there. I need my sleep so I won't be there too late. Any idea what times people will be going? I guess if interested toss some info to the group (Ik I'm asking alot, just cuz FFF can't do it doesn't mean you can't). What time(ish) you might be there, what you are thinking of bringing, what you wanna try. Things of that nature. And how we will know you! I don't have a Dragon Abortion shirt but I'll wear a name tag with my BA name on it. I'll post my presumptive list later tonight.

Couple updated thoughts. I'm group A, flying in from Nor-Cal. Super fresh Pliny, deGarde, Rare Barrel, Speedway Variants, I don't know what else will be in tow.

I don't know what time to get in line. I had planned 4-5am, but now ???

When I get in line, and sufficient people have lined up behind me, I'll be screaming out DRAGON ABORTION as if it's some sort of call to arms.

I'm not upset with the random bottles, I just question how is going to be random when some have 5 green waxed bottles, and some have 4 green wax and 2 non green wax?

I'll be disappointed if I get a Dia Obscuro, because IFUCKINGHATE scotch barrel stouts. If that's the case, I'll promptly package it with something else and try to trade up.

I'm a little disappointed if I get vintage as I've been the past 3 years and already have those bottles in my cellar.

I'll also be a little miffed if both the GF and I get vintages... We'll see how that all works out.

    Cheers everyone.

Sounds good to me. My wife and I will be there. Need to keep an eye out for sours and ciders because those are my wife's favorite styles.

We are arriving from Columbus, OH by 4:30 CT. After grabbing a bite to eat, we should be at the Hampton bottle share by 7.

I'll be there with a group of 10 or so. Probably wearing a Southern Grist Brewer's shirt since I already committed to wearing my DA shirt on Saturday.

I'll be wearing my red script lettering on black Brucks Brewery cap and probably my dark gray Ill Mannered brewery work shirt. Those familiar with Cincinnati brewing history should recognize the Brucks name.

Question from a DLD virgin to all you DLD vets. What have been some of your more memorable guest taps? Since I will be attending with the wife I assume we will spend some time walking around enjoying some taps while taking in the whole experience. Just curious what I can expect as far as breweries and beers that potentially may make an appearance.
