12.1 has 46 checking and was added on the 14th. 12.2 has 11 and I added it myself when it hit Reubens on Monday. They may just not have tapped it at Fort George yet.

    Speculation confirmed pure.

After finally having Great Notion stuff for the first time today, I'm stoked for this collab. Thought the 2016 was the best one I've been able to get my hands on fresh, but this has serious potential to top it. Now if only I could get it without driving to OR, oh the first world problems.

Sampled 12.1 and 12.2 at the Fort George taproom over the weekend (they didn't have 12.0). 12.2 had moderate bitterness, while 12.1 was pure fruit juice with pretty much no bitterness. I much preferred the 12.2. Lots of tropical fruit with a solid, but balanced, bitterness.

I'm really trying to give it a chance, but I personally just can't get on board with the glass of hazy fruit juice trend. I don't like overly-bitter IPAs, either, but I definitely prefer a balanced bitterness over none.

Is it safe to assume 12.0 is Fort George's batch, 12.1 Great Notion and 12.2 Reuben's?

I tried the beta versions at Reubens when I was there last week, I thought they were good. I can't remember what version I liked better, no notes and my mind was focused on the Double Crush I was drinking. This post accomplished nothing, sorry. lol

Nothing yet. There's gonna be a preview of 3-Way next Tuesday at Latona Pub as part of Seattle Beer Week so I can ask.

That's a good sign. I know its usually around June, hoping nothing has changed.

Nope, all the beta batches were brewed at Ft. George. We've just been tweaking the recipe, making little changes each time. A three-way collab is a unique challenge, lots of different opinions & perspectives all working torwards the same goal. We got it pretty much dialed in, and the final beta batch (12.8) has been brewed. We'll be having a release party at GN in early June.

I'm very impressed with Fort George. Drinking a Suicide Squeeze right now, very nice beer. Now if we could just get BA to fix the incorrect info for it, but oh well.......

Even with all the love Ft. George gets, I would argue that they are underrated. Love that brewery.

I'm always surprised by the lack of respect for Fort George. I went into Tin Bucket a while back looking for Matryoshka and the response was "We don't carry their crap very often".

    Really?

I don't know where I would rate them in my top Oregon breweries, but they're clearly an outstanding brewery. I went to a tap takeover at Loyal Legion a few weeks back, and I was impressed by the variety of beers they make, and the overall quality of everything (I think there were roughly 30 FG beers on tap).

I can see someone at Tin Bucket making that kind of comment about Rogue or Captured by Porches, but Ft. George? I don't get that at all.

Are any of the beta versions being poured anywhere in Portland now? I'm putting some miles on the bike this afternoon, and I'd gladly make a detour for that.

I had a full can last night. Enjoyed it even more than the first 8 ounces. At this point I think it might challenge the Boneyard/Block 15 version for my favorite but I think I need to do some more research. I am Heading to the brewery tomorrow to try to run a few more tests.

The wife and I made a run to Astoria this afternoon. We had lunch and a pint at the upstairs bar while watching the Timbers lose to the goddamn sounders. We bought a case. (There was a discount!) It's delicious. Very citrusy, lots of grapefruit, and fully hazy but still easy to drink.

    We are happy.
