The forecasts for Friday and Sunday are also looking good. So, chances of having good weather on DLD 2017 are looking more favorable. Keeping my fingers crossed.

 

After checking the weather this morning. I feel like we should ignore it as to not jinx it.

 

You guys are fucking jinxing it! I refuse to believe the forecast until Friday. We've been burned too many times. However, I'll definitely have sunscreen if this weather holds true. I got a little burned in 2014. Though that may have been wind burn cause it was windy as hell that day.

 

I will definitely have sun screen! Two weeks ago I was in San Diego, where I forgot sunscreen one day, and I am still recovering from the worst sunburn of my life haha.

 

So how about those...not weather things?

In all seriousness, think they will do any interesting release on friday morning? Last year was bloobs.

 

Two years ago it was Dark Lord '14 on Friday... maybe even Thursday before DLD.

 

Weather is looking awesome guys, feels weird. And now we don't even have to worry jockeying for position in lines, this year could actually turn out to be fun

 

Whoa, seriously? They have sold DL at the kiosk before? I never even knew that.

 

Yup I remember that, one bottle per person and the line was insane

 

Yea I went there around 4 on a Thursday and got in and out in 10 minutes

 

Yeah, I picked up 2 bottles of DL 14 that year.

Also true. I believe it was 2-year Portuguese Brandy.

Just to add some more useless time-killing, is anyone curious about how "random" the distribution will be? It's not like there's a random bottle generator and it takes effort to mix up several thousand bottles. I wonder if we're going to get stretches where they're all the same, so a bunch of people are rushing the volunteers because the last 3 people got Handjee, or people waiting for someone else to grab it because the last few got Dia Oscuro.

Yes, I'm bored and over thinking this. Is it too early to start drinking at work?

 

2013 Moscatel Dark Lord was sold at the Kiosk a few days before DLD 2014.

 

Question for DLD veterans:

Handjee is generally considered the top variant over the years. What is generally considered the worst variant and why?

 

It will be random. Yes, maybe they go by case or pallet and you see 12- 80 straight of the same variant, but it is still random because YOU don't know what you are getting and it is all dependent on the people before you and what is out.

 

I was also wondering if you will be able to see if you are getting 5 or 6 bottles? I might have to have that 20 spot handy to tell him pick another bag lol. I know me and my gf are getting vintage!
