So, my group and I are still a little confused over the holding area/corral that they're going to let people into at 6am. We plan on getting there at our usual time of around 5. Do we have to pack up all of our shit before 6:00 rolls around and take it back to the car? Assuming you can only bring your backpacks into the holding area? Once inside the holding area will you be able to go back and forth to your car before the fest starts? Don't remember seeing the answers to this in the thread but if anyone knows, your help is much obliged.

I quite literally LOL'ed at work. I got an epic visual of a guy roaming around perfect weather at DLD in a full yellow PVC rain suit... Hot damn that's funny!!!!!!!!

 

You're not allowed to take open containers into the festival.

 

I'm going to assume....

People will line up before 6am.
At 6am, they will check your id, punch your ticket, check your bag and let you into the pen.
At 9am they will open the pen and everyone enters the fest en mass.
At 9am the pen becomes part of the festival, and the outside gate is now the true entry point.

You won't be able to take your chairs/etc into the holding pen.

 

I would treat the entrance to the staging area the same as the fest. Only bring in what you can bring into the fest. I don't know about leaving the area to go to your car and coming back in. You can email them at [email protected] and see what they have to say about it.

 

I'm going to guess that the group A line is either let in first or will be moved/started at the allotment pick up area. It would make sense to do that and free up a lot of space in the staging area...which is probably why they won't do that...

 

I'm thinking the holding corral would be the same as being in the fest. Personally I'd put my chair, etc. into my car before getting into the holding area.

 

Group A's get free reign of the fest until 9am! I knew Group A was good for something still! haha

 

That's kind of what we were thinking as well but weren't quite sure. I'll shoot them an email and see what happens.

 

Lol I wish. I'm thinking they'd put us in that corral you always have to snake thru to pick up allotments. This assuming they want to free up space in the staging area.

 

They let 2500 people into the holding pen at 6 a.m. 2499 of them get 2 Handjee's each. One random person is beaten to within 2 inches of his life and banned from DLD forever. Would you go in the holding pen?

 

Yes, with the money I make suing the ever living fuck out of them I could buy all the Handjees I want.

 

You must sign a waiver prior to entering the pen. Do you still enter?
