    Having another blond(e) Trappist. This one is from Achel and it is the 8% alcohol version. There is also a 9,5% version of this beer. Besides that it's also produced as a dark beer, but I haven't seen those around here.
    Brewing activities at Achel stopped in the year 1914 (probably because of WWI). It's only since 1998 that they started brewing again.

    That beer looks awesome!!
    Hoegaarden and Leffe (many times sold together here in America) were my entry way into the world of craft beers and thus hold a special place in my heart!!

    Do they say which chanterelles? (Can be a big difference in flavor.) Imagining Yellow/Golden Chanterelles (Cantherellus cibarius) , that might give it a hint of musky(sort of Belgian yeasty ) apricot notes?

    Picked up a Biere De Mars with Black Trumpet mushrooms but haven't cracked it yet. Should have bought more than one chanterelle, played it safe not knowing what to expect...dammit!!

    Good Afternoon BA,
    My buddy was "shocked" to find out that I have never drank Newcastle Brown Ale, so he gifted me this bottle.

    I think I can honestly call this 'proper' glassware as the glass is from Lagunitas which is owned by Heineken who also owns Newcastle.
