If the weather actually holds up it will be interesting to see people post here During the fest! The last 2 years I didn't pull out my phone at all because it was raining so hard. I didn't even do a single Untappd check in. I can't wait to see the insane drunken updates from people who decided to drink Tweak and fight over Vintage bottles. What a time to be alive, I can't wait until this weekend!!

 

Strongly disagree, although I don't really love either. Huna is too cardboardy for me.

Could be, I'm not sure if they would actually adjust them or not. Whatever they do, people who end up with vintage will complain it wasn't random enough, or they oversold, or it wasn't split evenly, etc..

That was the anniversary party. It was fun trying to wrangle the 3 girls in our party from the toliets st the end of night in...that.

 

I'm on the shuttle, I haven't decided on drinking on the shuttle yet. I want to say I'm not gonna do it, but I probably will. I'll just get caught up in the wave.

 

So, I've been really chill on this whole lack of variants thing, but why the fuck are they still selling tickets when they don't have enough variants? I'm not happy about this. That's even less of the original ticket holders that get a variant.

 

I think I would bail on work early to get to Munster early if they release that on Friday.

 

I agree. All 10,000 people attending will never be satisfied no matter how it's run. They made some good changes this year and made it fairer for all though. (Coming from a group B so the odds are they will negatively affect me this year.)

Hopefully, they'll learn what changes worked and didn't while adjusting going forward. In my opinion, the biggest thing to do next year is to be more transparent before tickets go on sale. This would have saved plenty of anxiety and at least 50 pages in this thread.

 

Hold the vintages, give me that. That beer would be incredible with some barrel time.

 

Two ways of looking at it.

1.) Three Floyds knows there are 10,000 (maybe 8,000) people coming. 2,000 per group. No more, no less. They sold 2,000 of each group online, except only 1,000 Group A's online back in March, and the rest they saved for brewpub sales. Those didn't sell out so the remaining tickets are available online.

2.) Three Floyds is adding more and more tickets last minute cuz they love money and Group As are all getting stuck with vintage.

I think it is closer to #1.

 

I was too drunk to effectively use my phone after about 1 PM anyways.

I did the opposite. I had my phone out in the rain constantly checking in on Untappd. Well that turned out to be a pretty dumb move on my part. I woke up the next morning to a phone that barely worked. Only have of the screen worked and it was in black & white only. I got lucky though and put the phone in some rice to draw out the moisture. It worked, and my phone still works perfectly to this day!

I just don't have any faith that 3 Floyds would do that. I think they take the lazy approach and give the same number to each group regardless of how many tickets were sold in each group.
