Definitely doing this, count me and a +1 for the Bartlett stop. Easily worth not needing to worry about the hassle of parking and trying to "behave" during the debauchery of this fest. Western burbs people... jump on this... let's get flagrant. :grimacing:

Turns out the only thing that can keep,@ChiCubs78 from posting here for a few hours or more is going solo on a bottle of Chocolate Rain!

So, based on all of this why the fuck do you even attend DLD? If it's too much work for you then why bother? Oh I forgot, you can flip DL variants for your first born and then some.
    HECK YES!!!

I didn't even question that it was solo. Just automatically figured it was.

In other news, I probably drink too much.

Finalized my brings: MC '16, Huna '17, WW Dark Arts Espresso '16, King Sue, Apricot Vista, Cumulus, Zero Discipline, Strawberry Rhubarb. Probably went a little heavy on the stouts, but oh well. I will be group A line early and have a brown Sublime hat. Stop by for a pour! Excited to see everyone there.

Ziploc sandwich baggies are your friend.

Ziploc sandwich baggies won't help with stone hands tho.

Also interested about Centennial Park, did that last year and it was great and am hoping it will be an option again. I've found nothing re: this year with periodic web searches tho. Worst case there will probably be space to park at the synagogue on Progress for $40+, because they are asking $40+.

What time is the bus leaving? Just wondering because I live close by there.

This will only be my 2nd Dark Lord Day. The 1st was 2015 and I had just got into craft beer. Now I have been into craft beer for a bit. I noticed that people are bringing lots of beer I have never heard of from afar. I have really limited myself to mostly FFF, Pipeworks, and Goose Island. I do have Barrel Aged Behemoth 2015 , 2016 BCS and stuff like that but nothing from far way. Will people still share or is what I have too basic?

I'd rather have OK beer with GREAT people, rather than GREAT beer with OK people

if someone hands me a coors light, i'm drinking it....

You'll be fine with whatever you bring that you like to drink, but personally I'd leave the FFF 'regular' stuff at home. There will be plenty of Zombie Dust, Permanent Funeral and such on draft there.

    Good morning fellow DLDer's:

We are just 2 days out now. Here is your morning weather update.

    AccuWeather:
Friday 5/12: Cool with sun and clouds, high of 63
DLD 2017: Clouds and sunshine, high of 71 :sunglasses:
Sunday 5/14: Pleasant and sunshine, high of 72

Better pack that sunscreen. I might go with wearing shorts on Saturday.

Have you seen the lists of bottles people are bringing?

You'd think people around here could solo 2 or 3 bruery stouts in a marathon session like DLD.

It is encouraging that it won't be super cold though, but yes rain suit definitely even if a small amount of rain.

this is not the time or event to just "seriously consider".....this is the time to unleash your cellar on all of the neckbeards......it shouldn't matter what others are bringing.

It doesn't matter. The man will get a pour either way. Was just asking out of curiosity.
