Darklord Day 2017

With folks spread across multiple groups and consequently different arrival times, perhaps we should designate on the DLD map the official BA/Dragon Abortion bottle sharing location?

 

I mean, I REALLY hope this is the case too... That's what they SHOULD do. But we all know damn well those vintage bottles are gonna be peppered in all over the damn place.

 

If people meet up in the name of the lamest joke in the history of Dark Lord Day this shit will have flown right over the god damn shark into Dad Joke Day.

 

The generosity is much appreciated! Still finalizing my list, but I'll have Imperial Breakfast Magpie, Upland Pawpaw, Ensorcelled, coffee vanilla BA Dark Apparition, Rye Hipster and a few cool local bottles.

 

Here is my suggestion for a DLD bottle share meet-up location. Centrally located near a tent, allotment pickup is just to the left, plenty of beer and food booths nearby and plenty of port-o-johns nearby.

 

Anyone know of a decent bottle shop near 3 Floyd's that gets most Chicago distro? We're hoping to not have to drive an hour to Chicago to get some Half Acre, etc

There's a tent with bottled water, usually run by the humane society for donations. Right between the share tent and the brewery entrance for DL pickup.

 

For those staying at the Hampton Inn in Munster, a couple of items.

• I just got an email from Hilton that allows me to choose my room in advance and check-in. This email will go out to all Hilton Honors members.
• Below is the floor layout for the 1st floor. The areas marked in red are where the Friday bottle share was last year. I suspect this will be the same tomorrow night.

 

Is this where Dragon Abortion is staying? The band that's playing. They have a very metal name. Because dragons have wings and abortion is MURDER.

 

Food lines are the new group lines. Tap lines can get lengthy too, don't forget to share a couple pours with those poor saps still waiting behind you as you exit with your guest whale or tapped variant.

 

Can we share beers while we wait for Dragon Abortion to play? The band...the metal one that screams and growls and you can't understand them.

TBH I don't like how Epic pulled that "Double Barrel BBB" thing just because the beans were barrel aged. Before then, it was basically common knowledge that double barrel meant the beers was in two different types of barrels. Now...what do we have? Who are we?

 

Sooo.... all of them? But yes, unless you're a poopy head, and with all this Dragon Abortion talk you keep bringing up I'm beginning to suspect you might be...

Open Bottle in Tinley Park (more like 20-25 minutes from FFF IMO)
Binny's in Orland Park

If you go to Open Bottle, CD Liquors nearby is also pretty decent. Binny's is another 15 minutes from Open Bottle.

 

No I just love Dragon Abortion. Its easily the funniest thing that's ever been dreamed up by this forum.

 

Actually you'd be in luck at the open bottle. Half Acre will be on site tomorrow at 5 pouring samples. I know tonight they're having their Galactic Double Daisy Cutter release. It'll be on tap and to go. Don't worry if you miss out on it. Find me, I grabbed two 4 packs of it the other day.
