Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Hoping to make it out today for a beer haul as I am running super low on new beers to review. Haven't been down to Livonia in a month or two, so today looks like a good chance to do so.

Revisit review after almost 6 years! Glad to have Great Divide back in MI. This was excellent! Aromas and flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, pear, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/rind/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; balanced sticky/resinous/rindy hops and creamy/bready malts in the mouthfeel. Quickly increasing resin/rind dryness, minimal hop astringency. This is definitely better than I remember. Really damn aggressive and drying on bitterness, and has a great malty backbone without being overly sweet or heavy. Nice hop juiciness. Minimal warming 10%, dangerously smooth. Would purchase again. 4

Finally checking out the new 12.7% 2017 batch. This is incredible! Flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark bread; with lighter notes of dark fruit, smoke, and charcoal. Roasted bittersweet and bourbon/oak spicy balanced finish. Full bodied, awesome creamy/silky and lightly slick mouthfeel; with some lightly drying chalky roast and tannic oak/bourbon notes after the finish. Pleasantly warming finish, zero boozy barrel notes. Super smooth sipper. I thought the 2016 batch was an improvement over the 2015 original batch; this does another step forward for me with the higher ABV. Fantastic barrel integration and balance with the coffee and malts, without being super boozy on the barrels at all at the current young age. I usually reserve most Weyerbacher BBA beer for a year or more, but this one does not seem to need as much mellowing for the barrel booze aspect.

Amazing quad. Glad these are year round and 4 packs now. Flavors of raisin, plum, fig, date, lightly tart cherry, apple, pepper, clove, brown sugar, brown bread, toffee, vanilla, toasted oak, bourbon, coconut, and yeast earthiness. Moderate peppery yeast/oak spice and light fruit tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full bodied. Creamy/grainy with slight slick/syrupy notes in the mouthfeel; but still ending nicely crisp and drying from carbonation, spice, and barrel tannins. Awesome barrel balance, with great well rounded complexity from yeast and malts. Very smooth sipping, mildly warming 11.9%. Hoping to see Sixth Glass 4 packs around here soon as well. Need to revisit. I've been buying this more than way more than Tank 7 lately. Pretty much my favorite year round barrel aged beer right now.

Incredible as always. Big flavors of dark chocolate, cocoa, espresso beans, fudge, caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, molasses, toasted dark bread, almond, and light smoke. Bittersweet roasted finish; full bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel and light chalky dryness. Super smooth and lightly warming finish. Glad that these are in cans now, much better price point and more accessible. Just got a new supplier in MI last couple months, so the price is 50% cheaper than before. I will be buying it way more often because of that fact.

They moved it back a few weeks this year, which means today we have 70 degrees and sun instead of the 40s, rain, and mud of years past.
As for what I'm drinking now, nothing like shuttle bus shares:
Transient Kentuckley, Bruery share this mole, Arbor fig jam, Jackie o's wood burner, Abnormal goodbye tomorrow, and Oddside Hipster Brunch, and now we've arrived.

Good morning/afternoon BAs! Starting the day off with this goodie from @SomethingClever - thanks Dave!

Jackie O's doesn't make it into NW PA (After all, it IS a couple of hours away) and without the generosity of other BAs I still wouldn't have tried it. Rural Ohio is a lot like other rural areas (Cue the banjos).

Happy Saturday ba. Up and at it early here. I'm in full work mode and can't sleep in for shit. Vacation time coming up should cure that problem. Cool and rainy here all day and I'm popping another of these. Still prefer fbs but this is growing on me the more I have it. 4/5/17,

It seems too perfect to not have been planned that Dark Lord Day and WBAYDN #1666 are happening on the same day. I might have to get a Duvel or a Péché Mortel for later.
