Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Another usual day for me. Bottle returns, laundry, and some work to finish up for tomorrow's meeting at noon.

6 year revisit review. This was great! Aromas and flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and nutty malts; with lighter notes of toffee, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, smoke, raisin, plum, fig, and herbal/woody/peppery hops. Light-moderate herbal/woody/spicy hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied bready/grainy creaminess; light sticky hops and chalky roast. Lightly increasing bitter/roasted dryness. Very drinkable, minimal warming ABV. Not as amazing as I remember, it's still delicious. Definitely not as yeasty and more bitter/roasty than I typically would expect in the style nowadays. This was one of the first ones I had in the style, so I was just a rookie :stuck_out_tongue:. Would get again. Nice style example. 4

Glad these are in cans now, don't know why they changed the style label from a barleywine. This is just fantastic as I remember(though last time I had it was 18 months old). Aromas and flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, raisin, and pine; with moderate caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nutty/toffee malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/rind/grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; balanced bready creaminess and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins and increasing bitter dryness with no hop astringency. Insanely drinkable, no warming ABV. For being super fresh, this isn't as aggressively bitter as I expected. Definitely more tame than a fresh Bigfoot. 100% Columbus hops. I am definitely keeping this in the fridge rotationally, along with all the other new Avery cans. Completely delicious!

Fantastic DIPA. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with honey, toasted bread, light caramel malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/rind/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; balanced creamy and sticky/resinous mouthfeel; slightly slick. Increasing resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Minimal warming 9.5%. Very dank and juicy; nice malt backbone, but never too sweet or heavy. Very drinkable despite a strong drying bitter/resinous finish. The Columbus, Centennial, Simcoe hop combo is delicious, and one of my favorite trios. Grabbed another random single yesterday. Been drinking a lot of Green Flash and Alpine lately since they have been much easier to find fresh. Glad the new VA brewery is up and running, and that is probably the reason.

Absolutely insane coffee stout, glad these are in cans now. Flavors of huge nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, molasses, toffee, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, dark bread, and smoke; with some herbal/woody/spicy hops and light charcoal/dark fruits. Bittersweet balanced roast/char/hop finish. Full bodied creamy/silky/velvety mouthfeel; light chalky roast and sticky hops. Lightly increasing roast/char dryness. Super smooth, minimal warming 12%. Insanely complex and well balanced. Will definitely be enjoying this more often with the smaller format. World class beer. Looking forward to the day when everything is in cans, seems to be heading that way now. Increases every year.

    Cheers, have a great day

Many people consider Greece to be a craft beer desert but let me tell you, my experience sampling Greek craft has been amazing so far. Every major city seems to have its own micro (often multiple ones) and even small islands seem to be major players in the whole craft movement. You've seen me post multiple photos of Greek beers in the last several days and here's another one, possibly one of my favorites. It's called Marea and it's supposedly an Amber/Red, but it's full of Belgian aromas, making it a great hybrid. It's made by Elixi Brewing (which coincidentally makes my other favorite Greek beer so far, called Delphi, which I posted few days back) located in Lykovrisi, Attica, a northern suburb of Athens, even though the brewing operations have recently moved into a new location in Halkida, on the island of Euboia. A nice touch about the label of this beer is the comic strip at the back.

[IMG] Cheers, I really like this. Heading to Boston, my awesome wife and amazing mother to my 3 kids decided she wanted on Mother's day to go see Annie the musical, but suggested that the boy and I go to the Fenway Park for a Sox game, wow I couldn't love her more!

Good morning/afternoon BAs! This is a cross post with NBS:

This is a pre-buyout (sellout) brew from Wicked Weed and is my first and probably only sample of their beer since I won't knowingly contribute to Big Beer's coffers. Except Sam Adams when nothing smaller is available. Does anybody have a link to who owns whom?

Good morning, BAs! Last day of the three day beercation is upon me. The wife and I are celebrating some Momma's Day action at Short's. Pistachio Cream Ale for me (fantastic!) and a hard cider mimosa or her.
