GDDC hit the western burbs today. Got 2 x 4 at Willowbrook Binny's around 3 & they still had the full shipment in the back & not on the floor yet

Yea. I'm on your wave length. Daisy Cutter is classic American pale ale. Good for back yard grilling.

Yup... I think galaxy can shine a bit more than the standard DDC. It's got brighter and sharper aromatics.

Galaxy is the kind of hop you make a special release out of. I forget what DC uses but it's old school stuff. Probably lots of Amarillo and simcoe. Maybe some centennial. Hops like that are perfect for an everyday pale ale like Daisy. But maybe no so much for a special release DIPA these days. Not when we have all these crazy new hops to play with

I mean, there's a reason Pipeworks only made Centennial Ninja once.... idk. DDC sells out every time so I must be wrong. But that's just my opinion. GDDC on the other hand... blows my mind and is worth every penny

I agree with you. All of Rev's IPA's are way to malty for my tastes. Fist City has been pretty much the only rev beer i buy for awhile now and thats only cause it keeps the boss happy.

Fist city is great. Big fan of that beer. I like it magnitudes more than Anti-Hero.

I do like both Galaxy and Citra hero quite a bit though.

I want to like Revolution's beers but they just leave me with a disappointed feeling more often than not

I needed beer and had to grab stuff from a grocery store this week so picked up the Rev. Hero 12 pack figuring it was like 3 months old, but still better than the other limited options there. Surprisingly it was all canned on 5/2/17 and the Amarillo Hero was the best of the bunch- the Mosaic Hero and Galaxy Hero left a lot to be desired.

Oswego Binnys had about 6 flats of GDDC on the floor just now.

Agree on Citra hero...had that, Lil Citra, and Xtra Citra within a couple days of eachother and thought Citra Hero was the best of the bunch.

I unfortunately had bought two sixers of Mosaic Hero when they had the yeast problems and definitely left a lot to be desired.

I like Fist City quite a bit (it's less malty) and I love Unsessionable when it first hit.

I picked up 2-4pks Thursday and on my way out of town grabbed another 2-4pks. Binnys Schaumberg had like 5 or 6 cases at 12:45 on Friday. It wasn't on the shelves when i was there.

Just had 'Bubble' at Half-Acre today. That is their most legit NE style IPA beer to date. Deep hazy appearance with very tropical, floral flavors... great full mouthfeel. Not too high on abv either (in the 6-7% abv range). Would recommend.

It's on their site as being available for growler fills, yes. And it's a collab with Tired Hands, which makes sense given the style.

Looks great, thanks for posting. I looked it up and it has taro root, tapioca starch, and equinox hops. Interesting combo ...

And for someone that personally doesn't like Equinox hops, this was a very good offering. Typically I get the green onion/ vegetable taste from Equinox but I got none of that in this beer.
