    Nice! I assume you already have found de Bierkoning (a real nice bottle shop). If not, I think it can be worth a visit. It's located in the city center near the palace. Paleisstraat 125, to be more precise. Doesn't look much from the outside, but there is a great collection of beers inside.

    Drying a bunch today.but these big guys are getting stuffed and baked in a nice sauce. Gonna make a morel stout with some of the dried ones using the water from reconstitution and a smoked malt stout recipe..

    Something slightly exotic with lunch . . .

    look: 3.5 | aroma 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

    Bright orange gold color with white cap.

    My first thought at sniffing the brew was rhubarb. Odd because I'm not too familiar with that plant but that's the thought that came to mind. Basically a citrus aroma and not an easily identifiable one.

    Tastes like a basic wheat ale flavored with a subdued form of citrus. There is some tart and some spice which may be the grains of paradise or hops, can't really tell which though I lean toward the grains.

    Another fairly innocuous well made wheat ale with something slightly different to fill out the variety pack.

    Another warm day so I decided to visit the Cherry Fruit Stand. Attika (Sweet) bottled 7/11/16 from Casey Brewing of Glenwood Springs CO. They are masters of sours and wild ales and worth checking out. The perfect patio sipper on this beautiful spring day.

    First page! Haven't been here in a while. Beautifully hot day here in the Mitten. Some outdoor lunch and OddSide Pineapple IPA. The pineapple tastes fresh, sweet yet tart. Goes well with leftover BBQ chicken.

    OK. Don't laugh. Having a Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Alkoholfrei … It’s not that bad I must say. No, really.

    Well, for week days that is. However I’m, amazed how much taste there still is in this alcohol free version. It is much better compared to many alcohol free pilsners.

    Raining outside. Debating if I should head to a local tap room or hit my cellar for some choice selections on a holiday I always celebrate by myself since I don't know any other Norwegians that live by me.
