Happy hump day ba. Drinking more of one of my new favorite beers and watching the mets continue to fuck up in arizona. Maybe Harvey will be on here later.

 

Had an urge today for a nice pilsner and a four pack of this was a little over $6.00. Haven't had this in a long time. Forgot how easy drinking this is.

Noon Whistle Smack This

Black Sour Ale 5% abv
High pucker quotient.
Brewery says "burnt chocolate notes on the nose". I think they are right. There is no chocolate flavor, and none claimed. Just a sweetness smacked by sour. Clean finish.

I refuse to post Roger Whittaker.

 

I'm drinking one of these brands as I type this (photo is from the other day when it hit 80)



And it's worth mentioning that it's great to have my taste buds return after a blast of seasonal allergies last week. I can finally taste those oniony hops, Omar!

German near beers are definitely the best ones as far as I am concerned. They still taste like beer.

 

Pretty tasty brew. Did a nice little hike, got snowed on, around 36.

My first beer from LIC and I really like it. Now if I can just get Pile of Crowns sent to Indiana!

 

My favorite oyster place on the Virginia coast is called Merroir (not a real word but that is what they call it). Most times they have this beer on draft so I get a couple of pints whilst I chow down on local oysters and other seafood. Not sure how this Califronia beer made it to the east coast but I am glad it did. The sad part is I am drinking it without oysters.
