    Looking for some information regarding this brew especially from Michigan BA's. Was this a standard seasonal release or was this somewhat hard to come by? Just looking to get some information as I might be interested in trading for it.

    It has been released at the Winter Solstice annually every year since 2009. Prior to that there was a batch in 2005.

    I don't know much about it, but I've BM other users about it because I'd like to try some too. This may or may not be accurate... It is released every year at their Winter Solace party, only one batch is brewed/aged, and it is much more limited that BBA4D. And I'm ISO too. :slight_smile:

    BBBW was sold out a few months back, id say early january it was out. after that line they usually start getting BB4D ready, and somewhere in between their BBRIS, Solar Eclipse is available. They currently have BB4D and road rash available now

    "Ready" meaning that they start putting 4D into the barrels?

    Solar Eclipse isn't barrel aged.

    well kind of both really! its available right now, but i would assume they are also getting it ready to start aging em for next year's release since they age em a for about a little less than a year...

    and i never said solar eclipse was aged! haha, er maybe a bit confusing with the poor grammar on my part... i did not get any BBRIS this year, but I know that a month ago they had their Solar Eclipse released.

    Next year = this year. BB4D is released at the Winter Solstice (at least for the last 2 years).

    Also, the BA RIS hasnt been released in a looooooong time. So that isn't a regularly scheduled release.

    haha my friends and i have had our own 3 year vert tasting this year with 4D and BB4D. 2010 reg 4D won! the bulk of them i dont buy em for me to guzzle down! that would be bad form haha. I like to spread kuhnhenn out to friends, family and trading partners.

    They haven't had BB RIS since 2008 Winter Solstice, and I think that was a vintage keg.

    Wow....did BBBW actually make it onto shelves out there? I'd probably flip if I saw this in a store. Forget the price...PICK IT UP.

    I think he is confusing it with other Kuhnhenn. I do no think any of the BBBW got sent out to stores. BB4D didn't even make it out to stores this year.

    That's what I figured. Certainly sounded too good to be true...especially considering that the brewery sold out shortly after release.

    Phew, that sure put me into a panic....
