First off, I'm a bit biased when it comes to Pollyanna. Brian, their head brewer and one of the founders, is a gentleman I met on this very site 5 or 6 years ago when I was big into beer trading. While my trading days are long gone, Brian and I still send beer packages back and forth to each other. I got to try what eventually become some of Pollyanna's flagship beers when he was just home brewing and I've really enjoyed seeing he and the Pollyanna team thrive over the past three or so years.

With that said, Pollyanna announced they will be opening a second location in Roselle, IL. Outside of adding a taproom and a additional brewing capacity, they will be adding two oak foudres to expand their sour/wild brewing abilities. If you haven't tried the sours/wilds from Pollyanna, I highly suggest you do so. All I have had have been fantastic but the Orenda Vol 2, a bretted quad aged in red wine barrels, was phenomenal.

Again, I'm biased but I did want to pass the information along. And for you beer nerds in Chicago, I suggest taking a little time on a Saturday afternoon and head out to Lemont to check out Pollyanna. Great beer, great people and a damn-cool taproom.

    Cheers everyone!

Pretty cool news, I used to live in Roselle, if it is off of Main St., that's a pretty good spot to be as the surrounding neighborhoods are very dense.

I've been meaning to make a trip out to Pollyanna, so I'm happy to hear they will have a closer location eventually, admittedly I have not had much of their beer. I have heard good things...

It's worth the trip to Lemont. Neat little town and the brewery itself is beautiful. Plus, the beer is damn good.
