Sierra Nevada Party Pack

will buy this for sure, now if only I could get my 12packs of otra vez cans back...haven't seen those around in a while

 

Sounds good, but I'll just be going after the 12 pack collaboration this year.

I bought the summer equivalent last year for my graduation party. While it went over well, and I enjoyed the left overs, I'm not graduating this year, so I don't have much use for a 12 pack for my tiny fridge. River Rye'd does sound very good though.

 

I saw this at the store yesterday. I will definitely be picking one up over this next few weeks but I'll wait and hope to find the 24 pack at Costco for $25 as that is the norm for Sierra mixed packs there. All the beers sound great and Otra Vez is a personal favorite of mine as a "hot day crusher" type beer.

I haven't seen them in some time either, but my local store just got some fresh ones in this past Wednesday. Hopefully that means you will see some out your way soon as well.

 

Hoppy lager is stupid delicious.

 

Has anyone tried this one yet? I remember liking both Ruthless Rye and Hoppy Lager. If River Ryed is similar at all To Ruthless Rye I would pick it up just for that. Otra Vez I can just do without though. My second least favorite beer. Only one i've had that was worse was Pyramid Peach Ale. That thing literally tasted like vomit.

 

Yes, I've had it. Big fan of Ruthless Rye and River Ryed is quite tasty and in the same family as Ruthless. It was the first one that disappeared from my Party Pack. The Hoppy Lager is also good...not as good as the one that came out in its own Beer Camp 12-packs, but better than last year's which I thought was distractingly earthy for a lager.

 

Yup, I've had it as well. The River Ryed is a solid beer, nice rye spice to it. The Hoppy Lager isn't too shabby either.

 

If hoppy lager isn't as good as what came out few years ago on it's own count me out. This was my only reason to buy this pack, for a hoppy lager it was the best why they have to change it? And why not brew ruthless rye? Ruthless Rye is almost as classic as pale ale, almost that is. I'll just get me 2 cases of world beer 12 packs, probably be better anyway.

 

I'm loving the River Ryed. It's my current favorite SN beer, and the reason I keep returning to the party pack. Any chance we'll see it on a seasonal rotation again, @sierranevadabill?

 

You know, that's a good question. I know we have a bit of draught floating around the country. Right now, we don't have any plans for a re-release of it, but if the Party Pack does well, who knows, you may see it again.

 

Yes I won't buy any variety pack with Otra Vez in it. I can't imagine it sells all that well on its own anyway.

 

not a party I'd like to join.... Otra vez is pretty boring... aside from the Rye this must be a chess or D&D party. And not even a good one.

 

i'll pick one up. wanted to try otra vez for a while but never wanted to spring for a 6'r. it may sound like a 'boring' pack but i'm never one to discount a great day-drinker

 

Its a great pack, IMHO. I too, had been curious about the Otra Vez, and I am glad i got to try it. I would definitely buy more of it on its own now. And as a fan of the beer camp hoppy lager and ruthless rye I enjoyed the rest of the pack as well.

 

Also as a fan of the beer camp HL, I did not really notice a difference between the one in the pack and the seasonal from last year. Maybe my taste memory is not as good as the poster above, but I immediately recognized it as the beer camp brew I enjoyed so much from the year before. I particularly remember that beer because the beer camp version was much better than I expected it to be, and I enjoyed the brew from the pack equally. Could just be me though.

 

Just now going through my 1st party pack. Some thoughts; hoppy lager is my kind of beer! River ryed is as good as ruthless, if not better. Not a huge fan of gose so will wait for some warmer weather this weekend to quaff that. I honestly love sierra Nevada but have somehow never had the pale ale, so very much looking forward to that next. Edit: looking through my ratings, I guess 3 years ago I did have pale ale and seemed to like it. Will be good to refresh my memory!

 

I like Otra Vez, so I guess that makes me someone you can't imagine!

 

I thought Otra Vez had a pretty decent following due to its flavor combined with its quaffability.

 

Always grab SN variety packs. All the beers I like so it always works out hahaha that River Ryed was pretty tasty.
