I'm bringing a few beers up to the Twin Cities this weekend to share with a couple friends; having trouble finding which breweries are okay with bringing in bottles. Anyone got info on the best places to go for this?

Worst case we share at the hotel but would rather do it somewhere else.

I don't think you'll find a brewery that welcomes bottles shares. I have no idea if this is a legal issue or tradition, but there are no bottle shares at MN breweries. You'll have to settle for a hotel or some other venue, unfortunately.

I've seen it happen at FairState (but you didn't hear it from me . . . :grimacing: )

Breweries don't stay open by letting people bring in their own beer. Requesting them to do so is equivalent to requesting a restaurant to let you bring in your own food.

There's a large number of places in Iowa and Illinois that encourage bottle sharing as long as its shared with and you are still ordering from them. I certainly wouldn't do so without getting permission first.

We're just now getting the ball rolling on selling booze on Sundays and you still won't find any in grocery stores or gas stations. We're definitely not advanced enough to be letting people bring in outside booze to places that make it.

BlackStack brewing. Talk to Murphy if he's there. Share the beer with them.
