You're conveniently using examples where models come out with accurate predictions and ignoring the countless misses and mistakes that models also make. 'Member when fivethirtyeight predicted Hillary would win the election? I 'member. They had countless data and missed bigly

Neckbeards will only care about breweries guesses if they are accurate...otherwise it'll be one more thing for them to cry about

Yes! Great use of the member berries. Absolutely love south park. Carry on with your argument, just had to explicitly appreciate the reference.

So when is the BBA Candy Crush release? As someone who works with statistical analyses of big data sets on a daily basis (hooray academia) that gave me a good laugh.

Good, that was the intention. It was to point out that modeling is used for even the more ridiculous ideas that have very little (exact) history to be based off, and instead are modeled using other variables to gauge the success.

To be fair 538 had the probablity of Hillary winning at like 60-70% IIRC, much lower than most other polls. Leave my boy Nate Silver out of this.

Everyone in line in Athens was dumbfounded. I got in town at 11:30 and couldnt believe how many people were there. I also recognized like 2% of the people, there were a lot of non regulars. I honestly think Art didnt realize how far people would travel.

I drove 3 hours each way and talked to several people that drone 4+ hours.

So what you're saying is this was far outside the norm and past Jackie O's releases wouldn't really provide any useful predictive data for this release? Huh

I don't need statistical analysis to tell me to expect the worst and hope for the best. Thats just how you craft beer.

The questions themselves don't annoy me. It's the responses to the answers when they're wrong; that's what annoys me. Maybe you wouldn't whine, but many would. That's what is ridiculous and absolutely laughable to me. I mean, in this thread a dude seriously said that the brewery "announced" that it would last longer than a day. Amazing to me.

Didn't expect Appervation to still be on tap at Public House. That was a nice surprise. Even better than I remember from the quick sample I had Wednesday.

I was in the area again for a cabin weekend, so I stopped by the brewpub today. It was good to try Appervation on tap and Oro Blanco was a great surprise, too.

Those damn cheese curds are too good...

Just drank a bottle of bourbon barrel champion ground that is definitely infected but I can't find anything about others having this issue......has anyone else run into this or I'm I just incredibly unlucky? It wasn't 2015 BCBCS bad but I could tell the minute I poured it just from the nose alone and then the first sip confirmed, I even let it warm up just in case my conclusion was do to it being too cold. If this isn't a known issue I promise you I know what a infected beer tastes like so please save your breath if your going to jump down my throat about not understanding what constitutes an infected beer........not trying to start anything just curious if others have had this issue.....cheers!

Jackie O's has had infection issues with a few beers, but I have never heard of an infected Champion Ground. I buy more of it than any of their BA beers and have never had one be less than awesome.

Just want to pass along that Brad from Jackie O's reached out to me and offered to send me a new bottle of Champion Ground. Most on this thread probably already now they're a first class operation but I just wanted to pass this along......oh and it didn't sound like my experience was anything more than an unlucky isolated incident.

    Cheers

Yeah. I swear my last bottle from the past batch was better than they were fresh. Wasn't expecting that. Only one left though:slight_frown:
