Remember that there were proxies...I took 2 boxes & a bag out because I had my member bottles, allotment bottles & 2 other member reserve bottles as well

I left at 4:55pm & there were over 12+ cases of each, in the back & doesn't count all of the cases sitting out front

Considering the crazy demand along with the small space/staff he has I think @TransientArtisanAles did a great job with the release

Verbatim quote: "I'm going to mow down every one of you Chicago sons of bitches."

On her second pass through she went into more detail explaining how her and her husband had retired to Bridgman and we're absolutely furious about us "Chicago ********ers" crowding out her Beach town.

    1) You just told us all that you're not a Bridgman naitive, how are those beaches any more your property than tourists?

    2) We are neckbeards standing in line for beer, what in the fuck makes you think that any of us are headed to your precious beach afterwards? Shit, half of us haven't seen this much sun in years. You've got the wrong strawman, grandma.

Paid to be a member this morning. Took 10-15 min to get in, grab my bottles and sit down with a few pours. Even got to grab extra bottles in addition to our reserve. First dude in line was there around 3-3:30 I think he said. Folks behind him around 6.

I say this with all sincerity.

I wish my time wasn't valuable enough to where I could just blow 9 hours waiting in line to spend $150.

Well the line was massive and slow moving but what an amazing beer Kentuckley is. Hoping bottles come close to matching draft pours

"Finally paid to be a member this morning." I heard another guy today wander to the back of the line and tell this to one of his buddies. Given your described experience, I guess he was right!

Definitely! I got there at 11:27a & sat in my car for 3min until wandering up to the members line & was at the end of the outside patio. I was in & buying bottles at about 11:45a then took bottles to my car & was drinking 2 drafts well before the 3:30am guy ever got in the building

Sounds like a breeze. The wait wasn't that bad, but I'm rarely a complainer about anything. Hardest part of the whole thing was that I was worried that the French bulldog behind me was going to die. The worried owner took the dog to the vet but returned before I left. Dog was looking a lot better and the day was saved!

That lady absolutely made my day, just trying to get inside her head. She was so pissed, and at what? A bunch of folks (including KIDS AND DOGS!) standing in line as a friendly community on a beautiful day.

And at one point she was filming, driving, and spouting her BS at the same time. But yeah, we're the menace in Bridgman. I was gonna take a video and post it to Bridgman PD Facebook page if she came around again.

....especially since I heard she was driving with no hands on the wheel to take the video.

She obviously has no clue how much money was brought into the community from this release

Everything was great, but the rum barrel aged Buckley with cinnamon was the star of the day. If they ever start to bottle other variants that should be the first one

Agreed on that. That rum one was amazing. Although I seem to be only one of a handful who didn't give kentuckley rave reviews. Lots of green apple. Just like bad hombre was. Hopefully that will go away with some time in the bottle. Crazy to see so many 5 star ratings untappd.

Got there at 11:30 and got into the taproom at 3:10 (not going to overcomplain. Just something that needs to improve at future releases).

That crazy lady aside, we also had a small child hit a car with a rock and a woman wiped out on her motor cycle in front of the beer line. Needless to say, quite the eventful wait in line!

Was pleasantly surprised to see the limits as high as they were. People in line around me were really nice and fun to talk to (and unlike me, not from Chicagoland lady). I loved my Kentuckley pour.

I started talking to Craig from ABVChicago without knowing it was him at first. He suggested I have Rum Jumbie Buckley and it was fantastic as all have said. Made it over to Greenbush for a super late lunch. The brisket was a bit dry but that smoked chicken was legit so thanks to the guys in line who suggested it.

A fun day with a nice neckburn to show for it.

That was me with my dog Max! Thanks to the incredible kindness of the ladies in the Sandpiper shop next to Transient, Max is now safe and sound at home snoring away. Max had started panting in the car, I don't even really know why, it wasn't hot, on our drive up from Chicago and the by the time we got to Transient he was having serious trouble breathing, I was on the phone trying to call my vet and trying to google for a vet nearby when a woman approached with a big sack of dog treats and asked if Max wanted one. By that point I was really almost in tears, she saw immediately that we were in trouble and took me right into her store. We tried cooling Max down in a sink, but he was not getting better. She got me in touch with her vet, who wasn't even open at all, got him to make a special trip into his office and then she drove me there. Max got a shot of antiinflammatories that helped open up his trachea. The vet said that without that intervention, he might very well have stopped breathing. She then let me sit with Max inside her shop for hours where it was cool while my friends stood in line. Her name is Suzy Barnes and she and everyone in that shop was so ridiculously kind to me and Max. She even gave me a glass of wine because I was so frazzled! That shop is packed with really cool locally made stuff, they even make their own wool there. Everyone: every time you visit Transient, stop in her shop and buy something, perfect place to find a cool gift for you wife or girlfriend. And thanks too to @Vitacca and Erica for helping me survive a terrible day. And thanks to the guy who gave us water, too
