Have been wanting this beer for months, didn't think I'd get to try it until I go to the area. But here it is...

    I'm thinking of a style of beer . . .

So clean you can almost smell the water

The color of a bar of gold as though it were made of sunlight

    Elegant, dapper, contemporary.

    Happy New Beer Sunday =)

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Another normal day for me. Bottle returns, laundry, and a few other errands. Some storms in the forecast for today.

Incredible as always. Flavors of mango, melon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, guava, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey and spicy rye bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/rind/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied with balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resin/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Very mildly warming ABV, dangerously smooth. We finally got Born Again Yesterday last week, so I am going to probably grab a 12 pack after I review it. I went through 3 packs of the regular last year, so it seems like the right thing to do. Mosaic and Equinox hops are the best, and most of the reason I love these so much.

Still tasting amazing. Flavors of coconut, vanilla, spiced rum, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, oak, and light molasses/coffee. Light roast bitterness and rum/oak spice on the finish. Full-ish bodied swith a great creamy/silky mouthfeel; with some light sticky/chalky roast, and a touch of roasted dryness. Lightly warming finish, no barrel booze at all. Very smooth, rich, and complex. Lots of coconut and rum, but still very well balanced with the base beer. Glad I bought a lot of these, still a couple left. Probably my favorite variant they released so far.

Amazing again this year. Flavors of huge nutty roasted coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, and light smoke/dark fruit; with some herbal/woody hop and coffee characteristics. Light-moderate herbal hop and roasted coffee bitterness; full-ish body creamy/silky mouthfeel, with some light sticky/chalky roast notes as well. Light roasted dryness. One of the most coffee forward beers I've ever had for sure. Huge on fruity/nutty coffee complexity; and the base brown ale is spot on as well. Like a brown ale version of FBS. Definitely will be stocking up more while I can. I drank multiple packs last year. Feels a little more bitter than I recall last year, but maybe I just need to age it for a bit. I prefer regular breakfast stout with 6 months on it anyways.

Always world class. Huge flavors of caramel, toffee, brown sugar, brown bread, molasses, raisin, plum, bourbon, toasted oak, vanilla, coconut, and light chocolate. Balancing bourbon/oak spiciness against sweetness; lightly drying from tannins. Full bodied; creamy/slick and slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Low alcohol warming on the finish for 12%, never boozy. The malt and barrel balance/integration is amazing. This is basically a year round available offering for me on the shelf. Just as great or better than Backwoods. Still not completely sure which I prefer more; but I always keep both around, so it doesn’t matter. This seems to have more barrel influence over the malt though, which is really the key difference.

    Morning Sunday BA's

Finally got my new / old sailboat out on my lake with sails up Saturday afternoon.....not a lot of wind, but nice to get her out regardless....she is heavy and slow (kind of like me!), but a great solid mini-cruiser!
