Time to just sit down and relax, spent way too much time on the road this weekend. Started my day with Coffee Only Void and a maple bacon donut from The Holy Donut in Portland, ME. To those who have served on here thank you, cheers!

Freedom always comes at great cost...

    ...

Big day of new beers yesterday, and I've still got one more to open today...
Other Half's Double Dry Hopped Green Down to the Socks 8.2% abv IIPA...
Powerful citrus aromas of grapefruit and lime with floral elements at play... Taste brought a muting dankness to round off the bright and sharp citrus elements, complementing the citric tang nicely... Feel was medium-weight, amply carbonated, and with a zesty tingle... Superior stuff (again ) from Other Half, this one featuring a double dose, dry, of Mosaic, Motueka, XJA, and Cascade hops... 5/4/17 canning...

    Cheers, BA...

There will be many beers today, BA's. Moving to this one before things take a sour turn. :sunglasses:

It also wakes up taste buds . . .

Beautiful red gold color with small white cap.

Aroma of strong pine and a sense of weight behind the aroma. Can't say that I actually smell the malt but it makes it's presence known.

Taste is what you'd expect from a 100 IBU brew. Hops everywhere, infield, outfield, pitching and catching. I began to notice malt about mid palate and that flavor builds to the finish then hops reemerge in the aftertaste. It all comes across as a clean, well made brew that's well rounded for the power it possesses. What I do not detect, in scent or flavor, is alcohol.

Full texture with just enough carbonation.

This is a powerful brew. Body, substance and 9.5 ABV move this guy into the heavyweight class. The sort of thing professional linebackers have for afternoon tea.

2 Dollars, a Burial-Hoof Hearted collaboration. This is a light-bodied, pleasant pour with a dry finish and some citrus zest.

    50 degrees and drizzling.
    Our little parade was nice.
After the parade my wife and I decided today would be a good day for planting the garden. The tomatoes and cukes are in, the window boxes look beautiful, and I'm settling in with Vicinity.
Canned 5/22/17 and given to me by @SomethingClever. Thank you, Dave, and have a safe trip back to Ohio.

Big Beer Monday continues. Splitting a 2012 Chimay Grande Reserve, supposedly a special label to celebrate their 150th anniversary. I assume this is, then, a 5 year old brew (the cork seems to back this up).
