NYC bars...northside traffic...what next? I'd say we need someone to come through with some NEIPA's to generate some better discussion.

Forrbidden Root and Half Acre aren't anywhere near Wrigley so you will be good.

I think the DGDC release was also during a Cubs game if I'm not mistaken. But I don't believe it was that big of a deal. I headed up there via Lake Shore/Irving Park at about 12:45 without any issues.

It was hard to see/remember that stuff with all the other discussion!

At this point I'm wondering if/when a brewery in the Chicagoland area will step up and start pumping out canned NEIPA's on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, similar to TH, Trillium, Monkish, etc. I'm not saying that's necessarily what I want, but a lot of people do seem to want it and it seems like they could become THE brewery (at least for a little while) if they did that.

How about this to get things back on track?

Radio Swan Rye IPA from Forbidden Root Brewery.

    Awesome, how is it?

It seems like Corridor is the closest we've got (in terms of cans, since they use crowlers). But I agree, I'm hoping people start cranking these babies out in a format that doesn't require me to drink 32 oz in one sitting at home!

I would suspect FB and CBJ have space constraints to do that being brewpubs vs having a production brewery with tons of extra space. I am happy as previously mentioned with those two alternating weekly releases which lately seems to be about right.

Noon Whistle was running closest to this new on each week model for a good long while.

Easy to drink. Creamy smoothness. Good balance. If u want a "juice bomb" drink Snoochie Boochies (I am drinking it now...has more juiciness but more bitterness...and I don't mind it), but if you like the crushable NEIPAs that won't crush you after drinking 2-3 of them then Radio Swan is it. Very well made beer.

Can you get snootchies to go? If both are on to go, I may swing by after work and finally stop in.

Both Snoochie Boochies and Radio Swan are available to go in howlers and growlers, according to their overhead chalkboard taplist.

Looks like the open bottle got some today. I wasn't planning on stopping there but I suppose I will now.

If only it was built on a 21st century grid system where the streets were wide enough to accommodate traffic...

That Manhatten is an island like 2.5 miles wide doesn't help things.

Yeah, nothing worse than the summer stank of trash out front along the sidewalks. That being said, that subway system covers everything, but La Guardia....

You can thank the Chicago fire for that.
