What beer are you drinking now? #1685

Having the remainder of last night's W00T, because certain things just shouldn't be left unfinished.

 

Upright • Special Herbs - Gin Barrel Aged Gruit

 

Trying the new Heineken alcohol free beer and it's pretty lousy. It has a light hint of regular Heineken but no flavor to speak of. If this was all there was to beer I would live a beer free life.

today's beer is Westbrook's 6th Anniversary beer..a chocolate hazelnut stout..not as much hazelnut as if like, but still a tasty beer...cheers!

 

Paddling off the National Lakeshore in Indiana. Light winds, calm water and sun should make for a relaxing morning. Hitting the big lake for the first time this year seemed occasion enough to finally crack this bottle that my friend Matt in Colorado hooked me up with. Time to paddle, enjoy your day......

 

I'm thinking my basement is nowhere near as much fun as my fellow midwesterner @Prager62 is enjoying, but maybe I'll hop in the pool later and pretend I'm on the lake. For now, time to crack open some coffee.

As much as I am enjoying the beers @BrewsOverHoes has been sending me in our trades, his posting one night of this musical project may be something I appreciate even more. Every video of them that I have watched has made me realize great music knows no age, that I miss playing drums like I used to, and that I want to encourage my kids to play music like I used to and the Mrs still does. (note: Du Hast is used minimally in the credits, but the first song may even be better than the original)

 

I have another kayak, come on out sometime! Cheers from the lake where I hit intermittent cell service.

Good Morning BA
I am drinking this because:
1. My wife went to the liquor store this weekend while I was working
2. I haven't reviewed this before
3. I am home brewing this morning and one gallon of this saison is going on about 2.5 pounds of cherries I picked at my MIL's

I am shooting for less of the hard candy cherry smell/taste. I won't be using any "natural flavors" other than cherries so I'm hoping for the best. Enjoy what's in your glass today BA!

 

Dropped the car off at mechanic to fix the a/c (gotta have a/c in SW FL) then walked home; ok, it only took about 1/2 hour to walk back, and it hasn't hit 90 yet...

16 posts so far, and a quarter of them are my beers. Don't worry, @oach, I'll still make Thursday Night Beer Club (gotta share some Noon Whistle with you and the crew-yes, even Chuck).

I'm loving the fact that 18th Street is distributed in my area now, even if people are saying they're overrated. And yes, still skipping glasses right now.
