Hey fellow craft boys and girls.
So I bought a new car and have decided to put a craft beer license plate on the front of it. Here is Florida we can add a 'novelty' plate to the front. Any advice where to search for these? Any specific websites? I truly want a STONE brewery plate (they are my fav, of course), but not sure with legalities on that, or even to get one. Certainly wouldn't want to upset my man, Greg Koch. So are there any other options? Any help is appreciated!

    Bob

I'd rather not have the added attention from law enforcement while driving.

I would definitely think it's a bad idea to have anything alcohol related on your car.

I don't see any merit in this, honestly.

Congrats on your new car, OP. I did a google search and this looks semi interesting.

Are you implying OP drives while intoxicated? Otherwise why would it matter?

I remember a guy that drove around with wine glasses hanging from his gun rack in the back window of his El Camino back in the 80's. He had one of those twisty little mustaches, too. How about....NE14HOPS? Probably too many digits, lol.

Only if you drive drunk a lot. I don't really get the vanity plate thing in general, but if this is his interest and it's what he wants to put on it, what's the problem? All that really matters is if the beer is inside him while he's driving.

I'm more thinking that what Scott17Taylor had in mind is that a passing police officer may take a little more interest in a car that has beer or alcohol related plate or other stuff on it. Whether or not he's doing anything wrong, speaking for myself I'd rather keep a lower profile when it comes to law enforcement.

I'm not giving a cop any reason to assume anything negative about me. I just want cops to leave me alone, and I see putting anything that could possibly draw negative attention to myself as a bad idea.

Bingo! I've had too many negative experiences with law enforcement, I'm not going to give them any reason to think I'm doing anything wrong, and just because your following every law doesn't mean you won't be harassed.

Fair point. Maybe it can be like a reverse psychology thing. A drunk puts beer me on his license plate and the cop thinks no one could be that fucking stupid to drive around advertising it if he wasn't sober. That's the stupidest take I've had in a while. Cheers sir.

It sucks you've had negative experiences with the police before. Generally speaking, if you aren't breaking the law, the police have no right to "harass" you, as you say.

Not saying it doesn't happen, and I'm not going to take this to a political level, but most police are just doing their job and aren't out to get you. Any word otherwise seems like hysteria to me.

Seems a bit overly paranoid to me. If OP has a Stone Brewing novelty plate, it seems a bit of a reach to me that a cop is going to assume he is driving impaired. I'd think there are more things for the police to worry about than brewery novelty plates but what do I know.

So, you're out driving at 2:00 am after New Years Eve or after St Patricks Day or after the Super Bowl, and some of you see nothing at all risky in having a vanity plate that celebrates drinking? Really?

Wow I received one helpful reply ha! You guys and gals are too much! I appreciate the thoughts, concerns, and input from you all considering the advertisement for law enforcement aspect. In all honesty, hadn't thought about that. I consider drinking craft a hobby and nothing more. On rare occasions I do leave my home to partake in alcohol, I never have more than 2. I drink at home, in my bar, with my friends. I work as a letter carrier for the USPS, so if I ever got a DUI, my carrier would be over! Sure as hell cant do that! I am grateful for your concern, though. Truly.
