Nice variants. The maple was good, but I really loved the Cinnamon/vanilla. Understated and a nice compliment.

Some folks got 4x the allotment by going back into line repeatedly. The lure -- and the secondary market -- is strong!

The anniversary party itself was a fun - although you won't get bottles, its well worth stopping by to have some beers and enjoy the great weather.

I only saw a few people go through the line twice - the line was long enough that there really wasn't much leeway for people to even have a second shot.

Great event! A lot more people there than i expected. Got there at 10:30 and was surprised with how many people were already there. Shout out to a couple beer advocates (you know who you are) I met and participated in a nice share. This year’s Quiet Giant batch is excellent. Kudos to Imperial Oak for getting it done again and flying through that line. Cheers to their continued success!

I saw one guy sell a bottle for cost who said he had three because they allowed people back in line near the end.
There was no way to prevent re-lining set up and I have no problem with it. And the one transaction I saw was obviously not taking advantage. I don't doubt it happened, but I am sure of it's limits.

My pref of the big boys:

    2017 > Maple > 2016 BA

The sours and BA Iiipas were nice too. What a great event!

And yes, they obviously knew about double or tripe dipping- just trying to get it out of the house. ASAP. A sellout is a sellout.

SO smooth. Got through quickly and they let you go through again if you wanted. Great food as well.
Well done Imperial and congrats on 3 years!

I liked 2016 BA QG so much better. Too much cinnamon on first sip. Warms it gets better. But having the 2016 on tap reiterates it for me.

I don't think I've ever seen people ISO Imperial Oak stuff in any sizable quantity, at least in comparison to say Vlad variants, Inigo Montoya, Koko B Wares....you know the beers people seem to have FT far more than people actually looking for them

I missed out. Went to Barrel Massacre and headed to Imperial Oak as soon as I could. Didn't get there until around 2:00'ish. I did have a couple pours though and thought QG was outstanding. Would have loved to bring a bottle back home. In hindsight, I should have came here first then showed up late to the massacre where bottle allotment was guaranteed. Kind of sucks that many got through several times even though it was allowed. But I understand....done it before myself at other releases.

I did see one guy go through at least three times...but they were allowing it. I thought the share was great and the taps were very good. This year's BA Quiet Giant is very good IMO. I also enjoyed the 16 Quiet Giant with chocolate and coconut. Line moved very fast for allotment pick-up. Props to Imperial Oak for keeping fresh cold water available at all times. The lunch food was good as well. I destroyed some steak tacos.

BA Quiet Giant and a lot of other Imperial Oak stuff is WAY better than any of the Vlad stuff that has come out.

Yes it is still on tap (along with Naked Giant, Maple Bourbon Quiet Giant, 2016 Quiet Giant, 2017 Bourbon Barrel Aged (Nitro)) along with other fun beers from the event.

As things blow they will be replaced with leftover kegs from the event. If you are a local I highly recommend coming out this week to enjoy the leftovers.
