The kale and cucumber were on strike about not affording rent here in Seattle:slight_smile:

Well, I retreat to my rule that emotions are off limits when communicating electronically. Let's sit down and have a beer and all sides may come to a better understanding of the other. Bottleshare. Kale chips and cucumber/avocado soy shakes would be nice.

Either way, there was/is plenty of beer left to go around so no harm done.

Excellent. I expect to make my first trip to your fine establishment next week, and it would rather suck if there were no beer available.

Hey, just because we have a vegan strip club doesn't mean we're all a bunch of grass-foraging health nuts.

Getting back towards on-topic for a moment: Fremont does crowlers, right? (Edit: And no, I'm not asking about Rusty Nail crowlers. I know that's not on tap anymore.)

That's my recollection, and I think Texwild confirmed that in this thread as well (crowler fills of most things). If you've never been there, they also usually have a nice supply of cans and bottles as well.

The UBG is a great spot, albeit a bit of a pain the ass to get to from the interstate (depending on traffic conditions), and with sometimes problematic parking issues (depending on when you stop by).

I have never been there, but the wife and I will be making our first visit in...(checks watch)...one week and a few hours from...now. Very glad to hear that there are many to-go options. We were hoping to get some Lush IPA for post-concert enjoyment.

Parking shouldn't be an issue for us. We're taking the Bolt Bus to Seattle, then using public transit and Lyft once we get there.

Take 99, it's really easy to get to Fremont.

If you're coming up from the South (I-5, by way of Tacoma), where do you hop on 99?

The exit after 405. Highway 599 to 99. Super easy.

On the 24th, I believe we're meeting at the Ballard facility, not the UBG. 99 is probably still the way to go but it's a couple extra miles. Your post made me think there are probably going to be a dozen people that show up at the UBG and get confused.

Thanks for the post. You're right, I thought the two places were pretty much adjacent to one another (I've never been to the Ballard facility).

Still looks like 99 is probably the best way to get up there.

Just checked into the hotel after spending some time at the UBG. Was able to purchase my two bottles of Rusty Nail and had a pint of Lush and Randall Summer Ale with strawberry and sage while wife had a gose. Very nice atmosphere, very friendly and courteous workers, and great overall experience. Overall a great experience that definitely met expectations and then some. Had to park on a side street and walk a few blocks, but that's ok since I gotta work the beers off.

Get off 99 downtown and drive through Interbay across the Ballard Bridge.
