That's what I heard -- they were waiting for a fresh batch to send up here.

Yea, I'm growing more impatient by the day. Maybe it's me, but I cringe at the thought we (Seattle area) might end up receiving less allottments and a shortended opportunity for multiple purchases as time goes on. Especially considering how strong sales have been thus far in Oregon and around Vancouver WA.

This particular 3-Way just screams mule hoarding and trading nationwide, which ultimately results in less available supply without playing silly games.

Also confused why 3-Way hasn't worked its way up North quicker considering Reubens played a key role in this collaboration. It might be a freaking zoo at Reubans on the 10th. Plus, I can't imagine 4-packs miraculously start appearing on retail shelves the very next morning (11th). Remember, we're relying on distributors to actually get "fresh" 3-Way out into the market in a timely fashion (eye roll). I assume one of the bigger distributors (Columbia, Odin, etc) is handling distribution? Or, is a smaller entity in charge of this particular release?

Tried it side-by-side with Modern Times Dinosaur World last night. Much more appropriate comparison and 3-Way won hands down. DW reminded me too much of a cheap mimosa.

We were supposed to have a launch party yesterday in Boise that got pushed back to next week as it hasn't hit the distributor yet.

Don't quote me on this, but I think the bartender at NW Growlers mentioned that Columbia was handling distribution. It was just an off hand comment he made to explain why the beer wasn't as cold as they would have liked it (as Columbia had just delivered the keg a short time ago).

I just picked up my first 3 way in Lynnwood today, I would be surprised if it lasts until tomorrow

I grabbed a 4-pack at Beer Authority in Lake City Way. Probably grab another one when I'm down in Pierce County tomorrow.

I also just picked up 3way at Beer Authority in Lake City. Happened to score their last bottle of Peche n Brett as well.

I can't claim to remember the '14 with enough detail to make much of a comparison, but I know I liked it better than the '15 and '16. This one, I call it even. Fantastic aroma, juicy flavor, and firm bitterness.

Claim 52's West Side IPA reminds me a lot of 2014 3-Way. Serious.

I had a can of that the other day, and enjoying a 3-Way right now. Can't say I agree in the slightest; care to elaborate? 3-Way is far bigger both in mouthfeel and bitterness. I enjoyed Westside, but it was much more mellow.

This year's 3-Way is fantastic, all things considered. I hope they've produced enough to satiate the entire PNW.

[shrug] I dunno. Just got a lot of the same Mosaic punch I remember from 2014. Not identical, but reminded me a lot of it.

The market in Portland already seems pretty saturated. Picked up a 4 pack at Fred Meyer yesterday for 10.99. It does seem more popular than 2015 and 16 so far, but I still expect it to be readily available throughout the summer. I really liked last year's, but agree that 14 is still the gold standard.

@distantmantra was talking about the 2014 version of 3-Way, which Fort George collaborated on with Block 15 and Boneyard. It did not have a lot in common with the current version of 3-Way, except that it was fantastic.

Sounds like Seattle isn't being sent very much, at least to start. Chucks in Greenwood got two cases which sold out pretty damn fast.

Maybe it's because I was primed to expect more bite by the suggestions on this thread, or maybe it was the pint of Hop Venom I had earlier today, but one can into my personal quota of 2017 3-Way consumption, I would characterize this beer, contrary to prevailing opinion, as having soft and low bitterness. Just enough to give it a welcome complexity on the finish and distinguish it from tropical fruit juice, but not a touch more. Every palate is different, but that's what mine is telling me tonight.

Of course, what really matters is not how bitter this beer is, but how good it is. On that point, I'll add my voice harmoniously to the chorus. This beer is fantastic. Hopes soared when we first learned of the collaborators involved, and for me, at least, those hopes have been met.

I was told this was heavily kegged prior to other batches, so cans may be hard to come by compared to previous years.
