I liked a lot of beers when I was young, but when lagunitas brown shugga and sucks came out, I remember being in love with it to the point where I bought a ton of it. I drank so much of it I really don't dig brown shugga anymore. I think Sierra Nevada pale and those two were my first "loves."

Not "love", but definitely showed me that not all beer was Bud Light. Newcastle Brown. I tried Samuel Smith Nut Brown after that, and fell in love with that!

I'll never forget the label either... it was when they introduced this particular label that Bally IPA began to lack any character. It was downhill from this point onwards. :-(
THAT'S probably why you can't remember the beer.

I seem to only make emotional attachments with AALs when I'm broke and they get me through certain periods in life, in chronological order: Old English HG, PBR, Hamms, Milwaukee's Best, and Blatz. [With one noted exception of Pilsner Urquell.]

It's been hard "loving" any particular craft beer because of sheer choice and variety, I never stick with one, but if I have to pick brands, I'd go with Sierra Nevada, Founders, Pipeworks

Chimay Blue opened the door and Heady Topper pulled me in completely.

Don't laugh but I'd say either Sam Adams Cherry Wheat or Blue Moon Nut Brown Ale (around 1994-1995). Loved both of them back in my infancy. Then I also gravitated toward Pete's Strawberry Blonde. So embarrassing, but I'm being honest here.

Leffe, back in 1999 (?) I thought it was an improvement from drinking Heineken, I still enjoy one every other day.

Duvel. This was the beer that made me realize that not all beers are equal.

Sip of Sunshine for hops. Boulevard Saison-Brett for funk.

I've since come back to Sip of Sunshine and don't care much for it anymore. Saison-Brett still holds up.
