Last I'd heard was they wanted the pricing to be in-line with growlers, and were also gauging the response to growler sales before firing up the crowler machine. Soon, I'd imagine.

P.S. Crowlers of the NE IPA will be $75 Bajillion dollars. :grinning:

Today, (6/24) Black Stack is releasing Local 755 Squared. A double IPA. Also, they released a solid Cream Ale into the market.

Is that a 2IPA or Double Dry Hopped IPA?

There was still plenty of crowlers left as of an hour ago if anyone was wondering.

Generally $7-9. Blackstack said today's crowlers are $11.

$7 to $10ish for most, but limited or special releases being more to a lot more. Just checked Sisyphus and cheapest seems to be $7 and the most is $9. I believe Wicked Wort NE IPA was $8 or $9. Figure Barrel Theory will be in that range as well based on their on site pricing. You may need to look at a loan or second mortgage for Blackstack crowlers though.

Crowlers of Stupid Good at Disgruntled were $10, and Junkyard are around $14 for their imperial stuff. $11 isn't outrageous for a 750 ml double dry hopped IPA.

To be fair, most junkyard are $8-10. I've only seen $14 for king size, I believe. Shake IPAs have been decently cheap and regular IPAs are usually $8

Gotcha, I suppose I've only gotten King Size, that double Simoce ($12-$14 i think), and some PB Bandit from Junkyard. Just saying that $11 isn't such an insane price compared to the rest of the market. I agree it's too much (not just at black stack), but it is what it is. Despite the hate that DM gets here, their $8 crowlers are great value.

Waiting for a cover charge and a non-refundable glass deposit. These guys sure are milking it.

Blackstack is not in charge of parking, they don't own the building. However, the management firm that does own the building purchased a lot across the street, which they intend to use for parking also.

Also i would rather park in the street, its easier to arrive and leave than the parking lot or underground parking, which is one way in and out.

I recently bought some cans of their Local #?, and it was not very good. No haze, no juice, and really just kind of caramelly sweet. Strange considering I've found the IPA at the taproom to be ok for the most part.

I had it on tap, and it was quite good. They were out of the cans Monday, so I can't say how they were.
